Journal ArticleDOI

Id1 is a common downstream target of oncogenic tyrosine kinases in leukemic cells.

TL;DR: It is indicated that inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (Id1), a gene involved in development, cell cycle, and tumorigenesis, is an important target of constitutively activated tyrosine kinases and may be a therapeutic target for leukemias associated with oncogenic tyrosines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic modifiers of EGFR dependence in non-small cell lung cancer

TL;DR: A spectrum of kinase genes whose overexpression can overcome NSCLC cells’ reliance on EGFR are identified and their convergence on the PI3K-AKT and MEK-ERK signaling axes in sustaining EGFR-independent survival is underscored.
Journal ArticleDOI

Signatures of murine B-cell development implicate Yy1 as a regulator of the germinal center-specific program

TL;DR: To elucidate transcription factor activities that function in a stage-specific fashion, gene sets that share transcription factor targets are used and it is found that germinal center B cells had a robust enrichment of up-regulated and down-regulated signatures compared with the other B-cell subsets.
Book ChapterDOI

The TEL Gene Contributes to the Pathogenesis of Myeloid and Lymphoid Leukemias by Diverse Molecular Genetic Mechanisms

TL;DR: The diverse molecular genetic mechanisms of leukemogenesis mediated by the TEL gene will be discussed and recent evidence suggests that loss of function of TEL may also contribute to pathogenesis of malignancy.
