Overview of the JET results in support to ITER

X. Litaudon, +1228 more
- 15 Jun 2017 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the 2014-2016 JET results in the light of their significance for optimising the ITER research plan for the active and non-active operation, stressing the importance of the magnetic configurations and the recent measurements of fine-scale structures in the edge radial electric.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-linear MHD simulations of edge localized modes (ELMs)

TL;DR: In this article, non-linear MHD simulations of edge localized modes (ELMs) show features in qualitative agreement with the experimental observations such as the formation and speed of filaments, features in the radial profiles and the fine structure observed in the power deposition profiles at the divertor target.

Non-linear magnetohydrodynamic modeling of plasma response to resonant magnetic perturbations

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of static Resonant Magnetic Perturbations (RMPs) with the plasma flows is modeled in toroidal geometry, using the non-linear resistive MHD code JOREK, which includes the X-point and the scrape-off-layer.
