TL;DR: An alternative closed-loop control strategy approach of back to back two-level voltage source converter to regulate the dc link voltage and simulation results demonstrate that the controller is capable of maintaining constant dc-link voltage under dynamic and steady-state performance of the system.
Abstract: This paper presents an alternative closed-loop control strategy approach of back to back two-level voltage source converter to regulate the dc link voltage. Both rotor speed of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) side and the DC-link voltage of load side are controlled by a PI controller. Modeling and simulation of the control structure has been carried out using PLECS toolbox on Matlab/Simulink environment. PLECS is a software package for modeling and simulating dynamic systems. It is preferable for high-speed simulations of circuit-oriented electric and electronic systems. The validity and performance of the proposed control scheme has been verified by simulation results and is in agreement with what is expected. The simulation results demonstrate that the controller is capable of maintaining constant dc-link voltage under dynamic and steady-state performance of the system.

Abstract: The Thrust of this study is to examine the extent to which members of the general public, being major contenders in accounting constituents find financial reporting useful with a view to make good and informed decisions that will bring about environmental improvement. To achieve this objective a nine item close-ended questionnaire was administered to the 14 academic staff and 21 Post Graduate students currently in the Department of Accountancy, Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria out of which 19 questionnaire were duly filled and retrieved. Descriptive statistics (simple percentages, mean, mode and standard deviation) was utilized in analyzing the responses of the respondents while T-test and ANOVA were used for testing the hypothesis formulated. Factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha were used in reducing the repetitive variables and ensuring internal consistency of the instruments. The study reveals that members of the general public do not find financial reporting to a large extent useful in making environmental management decision which could be attributed to the inert attitude of the members of the public towards appreciating the contents of the financial statements as a result of lack of confidence in the preparers of such reports. Thus, the study recommends that there is absolute need to put the interest of the general public a head of those of the creditors in the preparation of financial statements, if the objective of sustainability accounting is to be attained to in Nigeria and beyond.

TL;DR: A Maple package of the symbolic algorithm for solving an initial value problem for the system of linear differential-algebraic equations with constant coefficients is discussed, which can compute the desired Green’s function of a given IVP.
Abstract: Objectives In this paper, we discuss a Maple package, deaSolve, of the symbolic algorithm for solving an initial value problem for the system of linear differential-algebraic equations with constant coefficients.

TL;DR: The authors studied the evolution and growth of the Boko Haram insurgency from its beginnings in 2002 to its current state by mostly synthesizing secondary sources and drawing from earlier research by the author, who came out as a highly adaptive militant Islamic movement amenable to changing its tactics and strategies to survive under intense pressure from a hostile local community, the Nigerian military, regional alliance, and an international community averse to terrorism.
Abstract: Boko Haram metamorphosed from a local insurgency to a highly sophisticated fighting force capable of challenging the Nigerian military, which says a great deal about their commitment and tenacity. Though the Boko Haram has attracted world attention due to the magnitude of its violence, its unorthodox beliefs and ability to endure, its local dynamics are not well understood. This study accounts for the evolution and growth of the insurgency from its beginnings in 2002 to its current state by mostly synthesizing secondary sources and drawing from earlier research by the author. Boko Haram comes out as a highly adaptive militant Islamic movement amenable to changing its tactics and strategies to survive under intense pressure from a hostile local community, the Nigerian military, regional alliance, and an international community averse to terrorism.
