TL;DR: In this paper , the conventional measurement and computation of precipitation, infiltration, surface runoff, and groundwater movement is described, as well as its relationship with the hydrological cycle and water harvesting.
Abstract: AbstractThe young science ‘hydrology’ reached mathematical analysis for many hydrological principles and involvements of sophisticated instruments and computer techniques. Rainwater harvesting is solely dependent on the ‘hydrological cycle.’ This chapter describes the conventional measurement and computation of precipitation, infiltration, surface runoff, and groundwater movement.

TL;DR: This paper is on an autonomous humanoid explorer robot which can move around the area and attached some sensors with this robot those provide some important parameters of the environment such as temperature, relative humidity, amount of methane, Carbon-Di-Oxide, Carbon mono- Oxide.
Abstract: Human beings are curious in nature. Exploring unknown places is not a new kind of adventure that many people opt for and often times this type of works lead people to danger without having proper data about the environment. This paper is on an autonomous humanoid explorer robot which can move around the area and attached some sensors with this robot those provide some important parameters of the environment such as temperature, relative humidity, amount of methane, Carbon-Di-Oxide, Carbon mono-Oxide. Also the robot is equipped with wireless 3G module for communication and collection of data. Later, the data collected from the robot are evaluated and analyzed to have a clear idea of the environment that the robot dealing with.

TL;DR: The methanolic extract of Tinospora cordifolia may possess significant antimicrobial property which requires more studies to isolate the specific bioactive compound for developing a new antimicrobial agent from this plant.
Abstract: Aims: Tinospora cordifolia is a herb used in the traditional folk medicine due to their health benefits. Studies reported the biochemical composition and some biological properties of the plant stem. The aim of the current study was to investigate the antimicrobial and cytotoxic properties from the extract of Tinospora cordifolia stem.
Place and Duration of Study: The study was accomplished by eleven months in the Department of Pharmacy, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), Bangladesh.
Methodology: Presence of phytochemical constituents such as alkaloids, flavonoids and tannins, saponins were evaluated. Antimicrobial activity of the stem extract was assayed separately using an agar diffusion method against some gram negative and gram positive bacteria. The cytotoxic potential of the stem extract was evaluated by the Brine-Shrimp Lethality Assay mathod.
Results: The zone of inhibition formed by the methanolic extract in the antimicrobial assays was significant. In addition, cytotoxicity of the extract was found to be significant as compared to the standard gallic acid in Brine-Shrimp lethality assay.
Conclusion: The methanolic extract of Tinospora cordifolia may possess significant antimicrobial property which requires more studies to isolate the specific bioactive compound for developing a new antimicrobial agent from this plant.

TL;DR: In this paper, the results on the measured grounding parameters including soil resistivity, ground resistance, ground potential rise (GPR), touch and step potentials for Manggis substation have been presented.
Abstract: In this paper, the results on the measured grounding parameters including soil resistivity, ground resistance, ground potential rise (GPR), touch and step potentials for Manggis substation have been presented. These results have been compared with the simulation results obtained by COMSOL Multiphysics software. Both the measured and simulated values have been found to be in good agreement.
