Abstract: This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills in science education on the subject matter of classification of material and its changes. This study included quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were the eighth-grade students of MTs Wahid Hasyim Warungasem, Batang with a total of 27 students. The technique of collecting data uses the questions of critical thinking skills which number ten questions. The results showed that critical thinking skills in the basic explanatory aspects were 31% (low category), building basic skills by 61% (medium category), concluded by 17% (very low category), making further explanations of 46% (medium category), and strategy and technique of 20% (very low). Thus, the average critical thinking ability of students as a whole is in the low category with an achievement percentage of 35.2%. Abstract: The meaning of conservation covers all preservation activities based on the local situation and condition. Preservation activities can also cover the conservation scope, restoration, reconstruction, adaptation and revitalization. The needs of conservation is inevitable. Without preservation, the natural phenomena, natural destruction, and either the renewable or unrenewable natural resources destruction will always on going. The Conservation Education is substantially urgent besides the conservation advocation and participative development. Conservation values which need to preserve and maintain are the values of planting, using, preserving, and learning physically and non-physically. Conservation move is a mutual aid, and impossible to be done alone. Beside, conservation move, must not be an exclusive move, but how to create a conservation move which gains supports and involves public participation. Conservation move is a tool, therefore, the words “the unity of words and actions” and a saying “ do what is said and say what is done” shall be the spirit of conservation. Makna konservasi dapat meliputi seluruh kegiatan  pemeliharaan sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi setempat. Kegiatan konservasi dapat pula mencakupi ruang lingkup preservasi, restorasi, rekonstruksi, adaptasi dan revitalisasi. Perlunya konservasi merupakan sebuah keniscayaan. Pendidikan konservasi sangatlah urgen di samping advokasi konservasi dan pembangunan partisifatif. Nilai-nilai konservasi yang perlu ditumbuhkembangkan dan dipelihara yaitu nilai menanam, memanfaatkan, melestarikan, dan mempelajari dalam arti fisik dan non-fisik. Gerakan konservasi merupakan kerja bersama, tidak mungkin dilaksanakan sendirian. Selain itu, gerakan konservasi, semestinya tidak menjadi gerakan yang eksklusif, tetapi bagaimanakah menciptakan gerakan konservasi yang mendapatkan dukungan dan melibatkan publik. Gerakan konservasi adalah sebuah alat, oleh karena itu, petuah “satunya kata dan perbuatan”, serta seloka “apa yang dikatakan dilakukan dan apa yang dilakukan dikatakan”, harus menjadi kulminasi spirit dari konservasi.

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains pengasapan ikan yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasi experiment dengan pretest-posttest control group design untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan pembelajaran bermuatan etnosains pada pokok bahasan energi dan perubahannya terhadap literasi sains siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Demak tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dengan sampel kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penentuan sampel tersebut menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar wawancara proses pengasapan ikan dan tes literasi sains dalam bentuk soal esai. Hasil penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains dan perangkat pembelajarannya diperoleh peningkatan literasi sains berdasarkan nilai N-gin pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,164 (kategori rendah), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,443 (kategori sedang). Analisis dengan uji t berdasarkan hasil pretest diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,670 > 0,05 menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada nilai pretest kedua kelas, sedangkan nilai posttest antar kelas diperoleh Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan nilai posttest kedua kelas. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran konsep energi dan perubahannya bermuatan etnosains pengasapan ikan dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract: The State of Indonesia has never been separated from existing regulations, given that the State of Indonesia is a rule of law and all actions taken refer to the applicable law. The problem of a law lies in the procedure for the application of the law and the implementation of the law, in legal protection for children in Indonesia, both victims and perpetrators have the right to be protected, for this reason a rule of law has been set against the child’s own misconduct applicable. Problematics of arrest and detention and punishment of crimes committed by children enactment of article 43 of Act No. 3 of 1997 which explains that child detainees are basically still in effect the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) are the loss of children's rights and protection against applicable law. The development of the rights of the child is a public concern because at this time child perseverance has spread and the application of the law continues to apply to that the rights of children must also be considered to see that children's rights must also be fought for. Above everything discussed above that neglected the rights of children and their protection was due to the lack of attention from parents and families and a small part of this resulted from an environment that was not good for the character of the child himself. To create high peace and stability then the basis of the change is parents. Improvements made to the guidance of children that are carried out fundamentally with love and love, it does not rule out the possibility of child delinquency or criminal acts that are done less, other things if the child is allowed to grow without attention then does not rule out the greater the crime that will be committed.

Abstract: Kulit buah naga merupakan limbah hasil pertanian yang mengandung zat warna alami antosianin cukup tinggi. Antosianin merupakan zat warna yang berperan memberikan warna merah yang berpotensi menjadi pewarna alami untuk pangan dan dapat dijadikan alternatif pengganti pewarna sintetis yang lebih aman bagi kesehatan. Pengambilan zat warna antosianin dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi. Pelarut yang digunakan adalah aquades. Variabel penelitian antara lain varietas buah naga, konsentrasi asam sitrat dalam pelarut, suhu ekstraksi, dan waktu ekstraksi. Potongan kulit buah naga diekstraksi dengan pelarut aquades dan asam sitrat dengan perbandingan tertentu, pada suhu ekstraksi 25-800C dan waktu ekstraksi 0,5-3 jam. Analisis kadar antosianin dilakukan dengan analisa antosianin metode Glusti dan Wrolstad. Hasil percobaan diperoleh bahwa varietas buah naga daging merah menghasilkan kadar antosianin terbesar 22,59335 ppm. Selain itu kadar antosianin terbesar diperoleh pada variasi pelarut aquades:asam sitrat (5:1) 26,4587 ppm, variasi pada suhu kamar menghasilkan 21,5028 ppm dan waktu pengadukan  3 jam menghasilkan 23,3027 ppm. Pewarna alami ini telah diaplikasikan pada makanan dan diujikan pada tikus putih, hasil uji coba menunjukkan pewarna buah naga dapat dipakai sebagai pewarna alami makanan.  Dragon fruit peel is agricultural waste which contains quite high natural pigments of anthocyanins. Anthocyanin is a dye that potentially provides a red natural colorant for food and alternatively used as synthetic dye which is safe for health. In this study, the process of taking anthocyanin was conducted using extraction method. The solvent used was distilled water. The variables observed in the research include dragon fruit varieties, the concentration of citric acid in the solvent, extraction temperature, and extraction time. The dragon fruit peel was extracted using solvents of distilled water and citric acid at a certain ratio, at extraction temperature varies from 25-80oC with the extraction time varies from 0.5 to 3 hours. The analysis of anthocyanin concentration was conducted by using Glusti and Wrolstad method. The experimental result shows the red dragon fruit varieties produced the greatest concentration of anthocyanin (22.59335 ppm). Moreover, the result shows the greatest concentration of anthocyanin obtained from the following variations, i.e. the 5:1 solvent ratio of distilled water : citric acid produces 26.4587ppm,  the extraction at room temperature produced 21.5028 ppm, and the extraction for 3 hours stirring produced 23.3027 ppm. The extracted dragon fruit dye has been applied for food and tested on white mice; the test result shows the dye can be used as a natural food dye.
