The Implementation Main Values of Character Education Reinforcement in Elementary School

Abstract: he study aimed to analyze the implementation main values of Character Education Reinforcement on the elementary schools located in Semarang. The study was conducted by using qualitative approach-based descriptive method with case study design. The data gathering methods that had been implemented were observation, semi-structured interview, and documentation study. Then, the data analysis was performed by means of interactive analysis model. For ensuring the data validity, technique-based and resource-based triangulation were performed. The results of the study showed that the implementation main values of Character Education Reinforcement in elementary school on the values of religion and nationalism have been very good and had also become the elementary schools’ culture. However, the independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity have been good but have not been maximally and routinely implemented by all of the elementary schools’ community members. Despite the fact that these values have been integrated into the learning activities in the classroom, the school environment, and the role of surrounding community. The obstacles that have been found are the limited school facility, the violation toward the school’s regulation, the parental abandonment, and the influence of surrounding community. The solutions for overcoming these obstacles might be that the schools should establish cooperation with the parents through the provision of additional prayer equipment in the classroom, the school should play the national anthems more often prior to the beginning of the teaching- learning process, the school should give penalty to the students who violate the school regulation, the school should give awards to the students for their role- modelling activities, the school should give direction to the students’ parents, and the school should provide role model, habituation, and monitoring on the students’ daily activities through their parents.

Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan dalam pengelolaan diet pada pasien rawat jalan diabetes mellitus tipe 2 di kota semarang

Abstract: Latar Belakang: Pengelolaan DM tipe 2 meliputi perencanaan makan atau diet, aktivitas fisik, kontrol gula darah, dan minum obat. Prevalensi kasus DM tipe 2 mencapai 85-90%. Di Puskesmas Tlogosari Wetan, kasus DM tipe 2 menduduki 5 besar kasus tertinggi di Kota Semarang. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional study dengan populasi seluruh penderita DM tipe 2 tahun 2016 (1 Juli – 31 Desember) dan besar sampel adalah 57 responden. Pengukuran pengelolaan diet dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara umur (p<0,01), jenis kelamin (p< 0,01), dan peran keluarga (p: <0,01) dengan kepatuhan dalam pengelolaan diet DM tipe 2. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara pendidikan (p: 0,44), pekerjaan (p: 0,7), pengetahuan (p: 0,42), dan peran petugas kesehatan (p: 0,7). Simpulan: Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan dalam pengelolaan diet DM tipe 2 adalah umur, jenis kelamin, dan peran keluarga.

The Influence of Tax Understanding, Tax Awareness and Tax Amnesty toward Taxpayer Compliance

Abstract: Taxpayer compliance is still an interesting topic to study since the government has launched tax amnesty program. This study aims at examining the influence of tax understanding, tax awareness and tax amnesty perceptions toward taxpayers’ compliance in East Semarang Pratama Tax Office, Semarang City, Central Java. The research population is taxpayers that are registered in East Semarang Pratama Tax Office. This study used convenience sampling as a sampling technique. This study used 200 (samples) units. Data collection technique used in this research is questionnaire which is developed from some previous studies. The writer then used descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis as the analysis method. The results of this study showed that the understanding of tax, taxpayer awareness and the perception of tax amnesty proved to have a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. The taxpayer understanding and awareness become variables that have a stronger influence than a variable of tax amnesty perception. The other results indicate that gender can influence taxpayer compliance as well. Female taxpayers are more compliant than male taxpayers. It is then suggested that the tax office always enforce tax education programs to taxpayers regularly and continuously to increase the taxpayers’ understanding and awareness.
