Abstract: This study is meant to find out the apology strategies, to investigate the development strategies from the lowest to the highest semester students, and to explain how the pragmatic transfer interferes the apology strategis used by English Department students of Pekalongan University. This study used a qualitative descriptive design and written discourse completion tasks were employed to obtain the data. As a subject study, ten students were taken from each semester, so there were forty students overall. In analyzing the data, the students’ apologies were analyzed by using Holmes classification. The findings reveal that an explicit expression of apology, in particular, the strategy of expressing regret, is the most frequent apology strategy. Alerter and explanation are also used extensively. There is development of the use of apology strategies from the lowest to the highest semester students. With pragmatic transfer, pragma-linguistic transfer is dominated by linguistic features changing from Indonesian language to English, whereas the socio-pragmatic transfer is more dominated by a socio-culture changing from Indonesian to English, making it unacceptable in English language context.

Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh intelectual capital terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan, kinerja keuangan perusahaan masa akan datang dan rata-rata pertumbuhan intelectual capital terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan masa akan datang. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 18 perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara IC (VAICTM) terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan, terdapat pengaruh IC (VAICTM) terhadap kinerja keuangan masa depan perusahaan dan terdapat pengaruh ROGIC terhadap kinerja keuangan masa depan perusahaan, baik untuk periode ROGIC 2006-2007 terhadap kinerja keuangan 2006 maupun ROGIC 2006-2007 terhadap kinerja keuangan 2007.  Abstract The objective of study investigates the effects of intellectual capital to corporate financial performance, financial performance and the growth average of intellectual capital  to the company’s future financial performance. In ditermining the sample,  purposive sampling method is employed and 18 companies are obtained. The results show that there is IC (VAICTM) influence to the company’s financial performance, there is influence of IC (VAICTM) to the company’s future financial performance and there is ROGIC influence to the company’s future financial performance. Those are for both  the ROGIC period of 2006-2007 to financial performance of  2006 and the ROGIC period of 2006-2007 to the financial performance of 2007.

Abstract: The final project is about the teaching narrative texts in improving writing
skill to the tenth grade students of SMA N 1 Petarukan. Teaching writing to Senior
High School is not an easy task. It requires a lot of creativity from a professional
teacher.
The object of the study is to find out the students’ achievement in writing
narrative texts. It is expected that the research would be useful for the teachers and
students in language teaching and learning process.
The subject of the study is the tenth grade students of SMA N 1 Petarukan,
Pemalang in the academic year of 2005 / 2006. There were 42 students (25 girls and
17 boys). The writer took all of them as the subject of the study. The technique used
for collecting data is pre-test and post-test and interview. First, the writer gave a pretest.
It was conducted at the beginning of the research. Second, the second activity
was held. It was continued with the third activity, the fourth activity, the fifth activity,
the sixth activity and post-test was conducted. At last the teacher made interview with
the students about the difficulties in writing.
The result of the study was that the students’ progress during teaching and
learning activity by using narrative texts to improve writing skill was good. The
students’ achievement in writing was improved, it was supported by the significance
result of the pre-test was 62.09%; writing the first draft on the first cycle was 65.52%;
writing the second draft 71.53%; writing the final copy was 74.38%; writing the first
draft on the second cycle was 72%; writing the second draft was 75.42% and writing
the final copy was 79.71%.
Therefore, teachers should always try to create an interesting text for their
teaching. Based on the result, teachers can apply narrative text to improve the
students’ writing skill.

Abstract: The expert system is a computer system that contains set of rules to solve problems like an expert. The lungs are one of the vulnerable respiratory organs. The purpose of this research is to implement decision tree and dempster shafer method on lung disease diagnosis and measure the accuracy of the system. The symptom was searched using forward chaining decision tree and the diagnosis was calculated using dempster shafer method. Dempster Shafer method calculates the possibility of a lung disease based on the density of probability value that possessed by each symptom. This research used 65 data obtained from medical record of Puskesmas Tegowanu Grobogan Regency. General symptoms and types of disease are used as a variable. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of the diagnosis using dempster shafer method has an 83.08% accuracy.

Abstract: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kelayakan dan keefektifan media science comic berbasis PBL pada tema bunyi dan pendengaran. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan R and D (Research and Development). Hasil penilaian pakar terhadap science comic berbasis PBL memperoleh kriteria sangat layak dengan persentase penilaian pakar media sebesar 95,83%, pakar materi sebesar 95,37%, dan pakar bahasa sebesar 99,07%. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dengan kategori sedang dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,62. Selain itu, kemampuan berpikir siswa juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan berdasarkan perhitungan t test dengan nilai thitung> ttabel (22,4>1,68). This research gives countenance to curriculum 2013 with development science comic based PBL on sound and hearing. This research type is R and D (Research and Development). The validation result shows that science comic has very feasible as a learning media by score percentage from medium expert at 95.83%, material expert at 95.37%, and language expert at 99.07Student’s learning outcome increases in average category which showed from N-gain score at 0.62. In addition, student’s critical thinking skill increases significanly by score of t score > t tabel (22.4>1.68).
