Abstract
This report describes an enhanced test system (RTS-96) for use in bulk power system reliability evaluation studies. The value of the test system is that it will permit comparative and benchmark studies to be performed on new and existing reliability evaluation techniques. The test system was developed by modifying and updating the original IEEE RTS (referred to as RTS-79 hereafter) to reflect changes in evaluation methodologies and to overcome perceived deficiencies.

Reliability-constrained unit commitment using stochastic mixed-integer programming

TL;DR: In this article, a stochastic mixed-integer programming (SMIP) model is proposed for the reliability-constrained unit commitment (RCUC) problem, where the spinning reserve of generating units is considered as the only available reserve provision resource.

Effects of plug-in electric vehicle charge scheduling on the day-ahead electricity market price

TL;DR: Results from studies on an IEEE 30-bus test system show that the Nordic day-ahead market can accommodate large penetration of EVs without a significant increase in market price.

The comparisons between pricing methods on pool-based electricity market using agent-based simulation

TL;DR: In this article, an agent-based simulation model is developed to compare the market characteristics under different pricing methods for pool-based electricity market, for example, uniform clearing pricing method (UCP), pay as bid pricing (PAB) and the electricity value equivalent (EVE) pricing method.
