Dissertation
Radiochemical and spectroscopic studies of cesium, barium, and cobalt sorption on some natural clays
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented a method to solve the problem of chemical synthesis in the field of biology and applied it to the biomedical field of chemistry.Ankara : The Department of Chemistry and the Institute of Engineering and Sciences of Bilkent Univ., 2000.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cretaceous/Palaeogene boundary transition induced lattice defects in illite and kaolinite associated with the Um-Sohryngkew river section, Meghalaya, India
Sucharita Pal,J. P. Shrivastava +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, cell parametric data and interatomic distances were analyzed by X-ray diffraction method and subjected to Rietveld refinement to understand KPB transition events.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of annealing on the structure and electrical conductivity of CVD alumina films
TL;DR: In this paper, the currentvoltage characteristics of films annealed for 30 min at temperatures of 850, 1000, and 1175 °C were determined, Annealing at 850 °C produced the optimum I-V behavior for the aluminum oxide pH-sensitive films as evidenced by minimum leakage current and maximum breakdown voltage.
Effect of mineralogical composition of fines on frost susceptibility of soils.
TL;DR: In this article, a 3-year program of laboratory testing led to some correlations between the mineralogical composition and the frost susceptibility of soils, and they performed freezing tests on about 400 artificially blended specimens with various amounts and different kinds of mineral fines mixed with a clean sand, a silt, a lean clay and a heavy clay.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparison of properties of clay minerals in isalteritic and in degraded facies.
Fábio Soares de Oliveira,Fábio Soares de Oliveira,Angélica Fortes Drummond Chicarino Varajão,César Augusto Chicarino Varajão,Bruno Boulangé +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the mineralogical, geochemical and micromorphological features of an isalteritic clay facies derived from the degradation of a bauxite developed from the same rock were compared to those of clays derived from bauxites.
