TL;DR: Survey and results for need of ad-hoc social network indicate that in users prefer 75% of average profile similarity to connect nearby users.
Abstract: Ad-hoc social network (ASN) is a location based network that makes use of ad-hoc network to connect interested users socially. Ad-hoc social network is a combination of social network that maintains profile and interests of users, and ad-hoc network that helps to connect nearby users without centralized access point. A survey was conducted to know users' perception and preferences for ASN. This paper presents survey and results for need of ad-hoc social network. Results also indicate that in users prefer 75% of average profile similarity to connect nearby users.

TL;DR: The identification of performance variables which affect the flexible manufacturing system (FMS) and the opportunity to management for understanding the factors or variables for enhancement of performance of their manufacturing firms is provided.
Abstract: The aim of this research is the identification of performance variables which affect the flexible manufacturing system (FMS). The study was performed to find the variables especially for performance, productivity and flexibility of FMS. Recognition of variables took place from the literature and experts opinions from the manufacturing industry. The 15 performance variables were identified and three factors, i.e., quality, productivity and flexibility, were extracted, which involves the performance of FMS. The 20 productivity variables were identified and four factors, i.e., people, quality, machine, and flexibility, were extracted, which involves the productivity of FMS. Fifteen variables were identified and four factors, i.e., production flexibility, machine flexibility, product flexibility, and volume flexibility, were extracted, which affect the flexibility of FMS. This research provides the opportunity to management for understanding the factors or variables for enhancement of performance of their manufacturing firms.

TL;DR: Experiments were performed on three web applications, one of which had never been tested before, and the design of the algorithm itself was new.
Abstract: Regression testing of evolving software is a critical constituent of the software development process. Due to resources constraints, test case prioritization is one of the strategies followed in regression testing during which a test case that satisfies predefined objectives the most, as the tester perceives, would be executed the earliest. In this study, all the experiments were performed on three web applications consisting of 65 to 100 pages with lines of code ranging from 5000 to 7000. Various state-of-the-art approaches such as, heuristic approaches, Greedy approaches, and meta heuristic approaches were applied so as to identify the prioritized test sequence which maximizes the value of average percentage of fault detection. Performance of these algorithms was compared using different parameters and it was concluded that the Artificial Bee Colony algorithm performs better than all. Two novel greedy algorithms are also proposed in the study, of which the goal is to smartly manage the state of a tie, where a tie exhibits the condition that all the test cases participating in the tie are of equal significance in achieving the objective. It has also been validated that the performance of these novel proposed algorithm(s) is better than that of traditionally followed greedy approach, most of the time.

TL;DR: When test results are estimated with voltage and current mode systems, it is observed that the equivalent model is superior to the traditional Elmore and Sakurai delay model.
Abstract: Current-mode signaling significantly is known for increasing the bandwidth of on-chip interconnects and reduces the overall propagation delay. In this paper feature of current mode interconnects is exploited for investigating the performance of RLC equivalent ReffCT mathematical delay model of interconnects. This is due to a simple RC interconnects model which results a significant error in delay estimation. Due to this equivalency the non ideal effect of inductive behavior at high frequencies and scaled technologies can be suppressed. The dominance of inductance effect is optimized by Simulative Sweep Analysis Techniques (SSAT). Accuracy is verified by analytical and SPICE simulation results. The performance of delay model is further estimated for voltage and current mode interconnects. When test results are estimated with voltage and current mode systems, it is observed that the equivalent model is superior to the traditional Elmore and Sakurai delay model.
