Infinitely many regulator fields for chiral fermions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that if the anomaly free complex representation carried by the right-handed fermi-fields is $r$ one constructs a vector-like theory with flavored right handed fermionic matter in $r+\bar r$ but with a mass matrix of the order of the cutoff and having an index equal to unity in an infinite dimensional flavor space.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gauge/gravity duality and meta-stable dynamical supersymmetry breaking

TL;DR: In this article, a class of quiver gauge theories with several interesting features by studying D-branes at a simple Calabi-Yau singularity were proposed. But their results were limited to strong and weak 't Hooft coupling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for top squark pair production in final states with one isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse momentum in √s=8 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2926 more
TL;DR: In this article, the results of a search for top squark (stop) pair production in final states with one isolated lepton, jets, and missing transverse momentum are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exactness of semiclassical bound state energies for supersymmetric quantum mechanics

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of supersymmetric quantum mechanics motivates a modified semiclassical quantization condition for one-dimensional hamiltonians, which gives the exact energy eigenvalues for several potentials for which conventional WKB does not give exact results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exceptional orthogonal polynomials, exactly solvable potentials and supersymmetry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors construct two new exactly solvable potentials giving rise to bound-state solutions to the Schrodinger equation, which can be written in terms of the recently introduced Laguerre- or Jacobi-type $X_1$ exceptional orthogonal polynomials.

A new proof of the positive energy theorem

TL;DR: In this article, a new proof of the positive energy theorem of classical general relativity was given and it was shown that there are no asymptotically Euclidean gravitational instantons.

Recent Developments in Gauge Theories

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a survey of recent developments on non-perturbative gauge fields by some of the leading experts and innovators in this field, including the Cargese Institute on "Recent Developments on Gauge Theories".

Chiral-symmetry breakdown in large-N chromodynamics

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that in the limit of a large number of colors, under reasonable assumptions, this symmetry group must spontaneously break down to diagonal σ(n) under chiral conditions.

On constrained instantons

TL;DR: In this article, a simple method is presented for doing systematic constrained instanton calculations in models such as φ4 or Higgs theories where the presence of a mass term prevents the existence of a classical solution.
