Search for high-mass states with one lepton plus missing transverse momentum in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3075 more
- 27 Jun 2011 -
TL;DR: The ATLAS detector is used to search for high-mass states, such as heavy charged gauge bosons (W', W*) decaying to a charged lepton (electron or muon) and a neutrino as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the leptonic decays of the z0 boson

P. Aarnio, +563 more
- 17 May 1990 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the cross section ratios R l = σ l (e + e − →l + l − ) σ h ( e + e−→l+l−) for l=e, μ and τ using data taken from a scan around the Z0.12.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monitoring and data quality assessment of the ATLAS liquid argon calorimeter

Georges Aad, +2898 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an advanced data monitoring procedure was designed to quickly identify issues that would affect detector performance and ensure that only the best quality data are used for physics analysis, and the validation procedure developed during the 2011 and 2012 LHC data-taking periods, in which more than 98% of the proton-proton luminosity recorded by ATLAS at a centre-of-mass energy of 7-8 TeV had calorimeter data quality suitable for physics analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the transverse polarization of Λ and Λ¯ hyperons produced in proton-proton collisions at √s=7 TeV using the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2859 more
- 10 Feb 2015 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the transverse polarization of Λ and Λ¯ hyperons produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV is measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the mass and width of the $W$ boson in $e^{+} e^{-}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 189-GeV

P. Abreu, +495 more
- 05 Jul 2001 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a measurement of the W mass and width has been performed by the DELPHI collaboration using the data collected during 1998 using the method of direct reconstruction of the mass of W from its decay products in both the W+W- -> lvqq and W+w- -> qqqq channels.
