Journal ArticleDOI

Noninvasive ventilation in large postoperative flail chest.

TL;DR: Clinical and respiratory improvement allowed a successful weaning from ventilator, and noninvasive positive pressure ventilation through face‐mask was provided, which avoided asynchronous paradoxical movements and achieved pneumatic stabilization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Is there still a place for vasopressors in the treatment of cardiac arrest

TL;DR: In this paper, the benefit of advanced life support (ALS) measures, such as ventilation with advanced airway and administration of drugs, has not been clearly demonstrated for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Clinical use of differential continuous positive airway pressure in the treatment of unilateral acute lung injury.

TL;DR: In some instances of unilateral acute lung injury (ALI) refractory to conventional ventilatory support, the intact lung is still able to ensure an efficient CO2 washout, the concomitant hypoxaemia being due to the loss of volume of the injured parenchyma.
Journal Article

Extracorporeal circulation does not induce intra-alveolar release of Endothelin 1, but only a modest overproduction in pulmonary circulation.

TL;DR: ECC may induce ET1 liberation in pulmonary circulation with transient pulmonary vasoconstriction, but wihout intra-alveolar release, or lung damage, while augmented concentrations of IL6 probably express a response to surgical procedure rather than an effect exclusively related to ECC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for trilepton resonances from chargino and neutralino pair production in s =13 TeV pp collisions with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2969 more
- 07 Jun 2021 -
TL;DR: In this article, a search is performed for the electroweak pair production of charginos and associated production of a chargino and neutralino, each of which decays through an $R$-parity-violating coupling into a lepton and a $W-, $Z-, or Higgs boson.
