Genome-wide investigation identifies a rare copy-number variant burden associated with human spina bifida.
Paul Wolujewicz,Vanessa Aguiar-Pulido,Alice AbdelAleem,Vidya Nair,Gaurav Thareja,Karsten Suhre,Gary M. Shaw,Richard H. Finnell,Olivier Elemento,M. Elizabeth Ross +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-confidence ensemble approach to genome sequences was benchmarked and employed for systematic detection of common and rare copy-number variant (CNV) in two separate ancestry-matched spina bifida (SB) case-control cohorts.
Posted ContentDOI
Age, Sex, and Genetics Influence the Abundance of Infiltrating Immune Cells in Human Tissues
Andrew R. Marderstein,Manik Uppal,Akanksha Verma,Bhavneet Bhinder,Jason G. Mezey,Andrew G. Clark,Olivier Elemento +6 more
TL;DR: The results identify key factors influencing inter-individual variability of specific tissue infiltration patterns, which could provide insights on therapeutic targets for shifting infiltration profiles to a more favorable one.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of FGF receptor blocks adaptive resistance to RET inhibition in CCDC6-RET–rearranged thyroid cancer
Renuka Raman,Jacques A. Villefranc,Timothy M. Ullmann,Jessica W. Thiesmeyer,Viviana Anelli,Jun Yao,James R. Hurley,Chantal Pauli,Rohan Bareja,Kenneth Wha Eng,Princesca Dorsaint,David Wilkes,Shaham Beg,Sarah Kudman,Reid Shaw,Michael Churchill,Adnan Ahmed,Laurel Keefer,Ian Misner,Donna Nichol,Naveen Gumpeni,Theresa Scognamiglio,Mark A. Rubin,Carla Grandori,James P. Solomon,Wei-An Song,Juan Miguel Mosquera,Noah Dephoure,Andrea Sboner,Olivier Elemento,Yariv Houvras +30 more
TL;DR: It is found that activation of FGFR signaling is a mechanism of adaptive resistance to RET inhibitors that activates ERK signaling that activatesERK signaling within hours of drug exposure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Revealing post-transcriptional regulatory interactions through network-level conservation
Journal ArticleDOI
Exome Sequencing Of Purified Hodgkin Reed-Sternberg Cells Reveals Recurrent Somatic Mutations In Genes Responsible For Antigen Presentation, Chromosome Integrity, Transcriptional Regulation and Protein Ubiquitination
TL;DR: A new ultra-low-input DNA exome sequencing protocol was developed which was combined with flow cytometry using CD64, CD95, CD30, CD5, CD20, CD15, CD40, and CD45, to produce what is to the authors' knowledge the first full exome deep sequencing study of primary cases of Hodgkin lymphoma.
