TL;DR: Singlet excited state dipole moment of TMPCB was greater than ground state dipoles moment in all the approaches which could be attributed to considerable π- electron density redistribution.
Abstract: A novel N-arylphthalamic acid derivative, 2-({4-[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methyl]phenyl}carbamoyl)benzoic acid (TMPCB) was synthesized and their absorption and emission spectra were recorded in fifteen different solvents of varying polarities at room temperature. Ground state dipole moment of the derivative was calculated experimentally by Guggenheim method and solvatochromic approach proposed by Bilot-Kawski. The singlet excited state dipole moment of TMPCB were calculated experimentally based on different approaches of solvent polarity function proposed by Lippert-Mataga, Bakhshiev, Kawskii-Chamma-Viallet, Reichardt and Bilot-Kawski. Singlet excited state dipole moment was greater than ground state dipole moment in all the approaches which could be attributed to considerable π- electron density redistribution. Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analysis based on Kamlet-Abboud-Taft and Catalan parameters were also studied to correlate solvatochromism and influence of solvents with absorbance and emission spectra. Ground and singlet excited state optimizations of the molecule were also performed using Gaussian 09 W software. HOMO-LUMO energies of the phthalamic acid derivative have been obtained using TD-DFT/PCM (B3LYP/6-31G (d, p)) computations and experimentally by using cyclic voltammetry. Mulliken charges and molecular electrostatic potential plot have also been generated from DFT calculations to identify nucleophilic and electrophilic sites of TMPCB.

TL;DR: Four new compounds characterized as 7β,11α,19,21-tetra-O-decanoyl-18, 22β-dihydroxy-dammar-1-en-3-one, 3β,4α,12β-trihydroxystigmast-5-en.21-yl octadecan-9′,12′-dienoate, and dammar-12 have probablyessential antioxidant properties than the compounds 1
Abstract: Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer (Araliaceae), is a well-known herb and used in the old established system of Oriental remedy, especially in Japan, China and Korea. Four new compounds characterized as (cis)- 7β,11α,19,21-tetra-O-decanoyl-18, 22β-dihydroxy-dammar-1-en-3-one (1), 3β,4α,12β-trihydroxystigmast-5-en-21-yl octadecan-9',12'-dienoate (2), dammar-12, 24-dien-3α, 6β, 15α-triol-3α-D-arabinopyranosyl-6β-L-arabinopyranoside (3) and dammar-24-en-3α, 6β, 16α, 20β-tetraol-3α-D-arabinopyranosyl-6β-D-arabinopyranoside (4) were isolated and established from the ethyl acetate and butanol extracts of the roots of P. ginseng. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral data and chemical reactions. Natural compounds indicative a great reservoir of materials and compounds with evolved biological activity, including antioxidant. Compounds 1-4 were investigated in vitro for antioxidant potential using ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), the Nitric oxide (NO) scavenging activity, reducing power, phosphomolybdenum and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging actions, and the decision showed the compounds 3and 4 have probablyessential antioxidant properties than the compounds 1and 2 presented weak activity.

Abstract: We report the first systematic study to identify and characterize a sample of classical Ae stars in the Galaxy. The spectra of these stars were retrieved from the A-star catalog using the Large sky Area Multi-Object fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) survey. We identified the emission-line stars in this catalog from which 159 are confirmed as classical Ae stars. This increases the sample of known classical Ae stars by about nine times from the previously identified 21 stars. The evolutionary phase of classical Ae stars in this study is confirmed from the relatively small mid- and far-infrared excess and from their location in the optical color-magnitude diagram. We estimated the spectral type using MILES spectral templates and identified Classical Ae stars beyond A3, for the first time. The prominent emission lines in the spectra within the wavelength range 3700 -- 9000 {\AA} are identified and compared with the features present in classical Be stars. The H{\alpha} emission strength of the stars in our sample show a steady decrease from late-B type to Ae stars, suggesting that the disc size may be dependent on the spectral type. Interestingly, we noticed emission lines of Fe{\sc ii}, O{\sc i} and Paschen series in the spectrum of some classical Ae stars. These lines are supposed to fade out by late B-type and should not be present in Ae stars. Further studies, including spectra with better resolution, is needed to correlate these results with the rotation rates of classical Ae stars.

Abstract: The outbreak of an unusual respiratory disease, initially dominated by the symptoms like fever, dry cough, dyspnoea, diarrhoea, sore throat, which later gets worsened by pneumonia and requires ventilatory support was seen from 2019 to 2020 This major outbreak is due to 2019 novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 or 2019-nCoV) which was first reported in Wuhan (China) in December 2019, the world witnessed COVID-19 in the first of its kind The present paper focuses on the impact of the virus in India, the remedial measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and the possible psychological consequences
