Abstract: The main contribution of this paper is the proposal of new modulation techniques for three-phase transformerless neutral point clamped inverters to eliminate leakage currents in photovoltaic systems without requiring any modification on the multilevel inverter or any additional hardware. The modulation techniques are capable of reducing the leakage currents in photovoltaic systems by applying three medium vectors or using only two medium vectors and one specific zero vector to compose the reference vector. In addition, to increase the system utilization, the three-phase neutral point clamped inverter can be designed to also provide functions of active filter using the p-q theory. The proposed system provides maximum power point tracking and compensation of current harmonics and reactive power. To validate the simulation models, an experimental three-phase inverter is used to evaluate leakage currents and the dc link voltage control.

TL;DR: The results show that violence is a very common phenomenon and the findings reiterate previous international studies results with regard to high magnitude and overlapping of types of intimate partner violence.
Abstract: OBJETIVO: Analisar os resultados do WHO Multi-country Study on Women´s Health and Domestic Violence sobre a prevalencia da violencia contra mulheres por parceiros intimos encontrada no Brasil. METODOS: Estudo transversal integrante do WHO Multi-country Study on Women's Health and Domestic Violence against women, realizado em dez paises, entre 2000-2003.

TL;DR: The main challenges inherent to the resource allocation process particular to distributed clouds are highlighted and categorized, offering a stepwise view of this process that covers the initial modeling phase through to the optimization phase.
Abstract: In a cloud computing environment, dynamic resource allocation and reallocation are keys for accommodating unpredictable demands and, ultimately, contribute to investment return. This article discusses this process in the context of distributed clouds, which are seen as systems where application developers can selectively lease geographically distributed resources. This article highlights and categorizes the main challenges inherent to the resource allocation process particular to distributed clouds, offering a stepwise view of this process that covers the initial modeling phase through to the optimization phase.

TL;DR: The evidence is presented that resulted in the Brazilian Consensus on Chagas Disease, which was to review and standardize strategies for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of the disease in the country, based on the available scientific evidence.
Abstract: Chagas disease is a neglected chronic condition with a high burden of morbidity and mortality. It has considerable psychological, social, and economic impacts. The disease represents a significant public health issue in Brazil, with different regional patterns. This document presents the evidence that resulted in the Brazilian Consensus on Chagas Disease. The objective was to review and standardize strategies for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and control of Chagas disease in the country, based on the available scientific evidence. The consensus is based on the articulation and strategic contribution of renowned Brazilian experts with knowledge and experience on various aspects of the disease. It is the result of a close collaboration between the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine and the Ministry of Health. It is hoped that this document will strengthen the development of integrated actions against Chagas disease in the country, focusing on epidemiology, management, comprehensive care (including families and communities), communication, information, education, and research .
