TL;DR: In this article, a new giving up smoking model for which interaction term is square root of potential and occasional smokers of model presented in Zaman (2011) is presented, where the non-standard finite difference method (NSFD) is used to solve the new giving-up smoking model.

TL;DR: This mini review discusses the preparatory forms in which these plants are consumed, their reported phytoconstituents, and the results of their reported antidiabetic bioactivity.
Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disorder affecting millions worldwide. It is recognized as a global major health problem. As alternatives to the available orthodox medicines, plants are considered a potential source for the treatment of diabetes within traditional ethnomedicine practices. In the Jordanian traditional medicine a significant selection of ethnobotanicals is promoted for their antidiabetic activity. Literature surveys demonstrate the benefit of several ethnobotanicals as antidiabetic agents evaluated in in vitro and in vivo systems in the form of their crude extracts and/or isolated pure compounds with varying degrees of hypoglycemic or antihyperglycemic bioactivities. This mini review discusses the preparatory forms in which these plants are consumed, their reported phytoconstituents, and the results of their reported antidiabetic bioactivity.

TL;DR: In this paper, a self-reported survey was designed to collect the primary data from 293 Islamic banks services users in the Jordanian market, and both Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis testes were used to test the study hypotheses.
Abstract: Studying the effect of perceived service quality on customer loyalty in the Islamic banks services setting has not been receiving much attention from scholars. A set of service quality dimensions have been investigated: tangible, reliability, empathy, assurance and responsiveness. A self-reported survey was designed to collect the primary data from 293 Islamic banks services users in the Jordanian market. Both Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis testes were used to test the study hypotheses. The findings indicated that customers expressed high levels of loyalty towards all service quality dimensions. Practitioners and academics alike are keen on accurately measuring service quality in order to better understand its essential antecedents and consequences, and ultimately, establish methods for improving such quality to exert better care for loyal customers especially those who are more profitable than others and to minimise customers switching to competitors.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated analytical and numerical solutions of fractional fuzzy hybrid systems in Hilbert space, which are devoted to model control systems that are capable of controlling complex systems with continuous time dynamics.
Abstract: The pivotal aim of this paper is to investigate analytical and numerical solutions of fractional fuzzy hybrid system in Hilbert space. Such fuzzy systems are devoted to model control systems that are capable of controlling complex systems that have discrete events with continuous time dynamics. The fractional derivative is described in Atangana-Baleanu Caputo (ABC) sense, which is distinguished by its non-local and non-singular kernel. In this orientation, the main contribution of the current numerical investigation is to generalize the characterization theory of integer fuzzy IVP to the ABC-fractional derivative under a strongly generalized differentiability, and then apply the proposed method to deal with the fuzzy hybrid system numerically. This method optimized the approximate solutions based on orthogonalization Schmidt process on Sobolev spaces, which can be straightway employed in generating Fourier expansion within a sensible convergence rate. The reproducing kernel theory is employed to construct a series solution with parametric form for the considered model in the space of direct sum W 2 2 [ a , b ] ⊕ W 2 2 [ a , b ] . Some theorems related to convergence analysis and approximation error are also proved. Moreover, we obtain the exact solution for the fuzzy model by applying Laplace transform method. So, the results obtained using the proposed method are compared with those of exact solution. To show the effect of Atangana-Baleanu fractional operator, we compare the numerical solution of fractional fuzzy hybrid system with those of integer order. Two numerical examples are carried out to illustrate that such dynamical processes noticeably depend on time instant and time history, which can be efficiently modeled by employing the fractional calculus theory. Finally, the accuracy, efficiency, and simplicity of the proposed method are evident in both classical and fractional cases.

TL;DR: Although positive attitudes emerged towards older people, it was also apparent that efforts should be made to enhance them further so that quality care is delivered to this population.
Abstract: Purpose: To identify and describe Jordanian nurses’ attitudes toward older patients in acute care settings. The effects of socio-demographics and nursing work characteristics on nurses’ attitudes were also examined.
Method: Descriptive correlational design was used. Kogan's (1961) Attitudes Toward Old People Scale was administered to a total population of Jordanian nurses (n = 200) working in selected units in acute care settings of three public hospitals in northern Jordan. Nurses’ attitudes were described by using descriptive statistics. anova and Pearson correlation were used to examine the effects of selected socio-demographic details and work characteristics on nurses’ attitudes.
Results: Jordanian nurses who participated in this study had marginally positive attitudes toward older patients in acute care settings. Years of clinical experience correlated significantly with their attitudes. Male nurses had significantly more positive attitudes than their female counterparts. Surgical nurses also demonstrated significantly more positive attitudes than those working in medical units.
Conclusion: Although positive attitudes emerged towards older people, it was also apparent that efforts should be made to enhance them further so that quality care is delivered to this population. In addition, Jordanian nurse educators should put a greater focus on issues related to the care of the older person in their nursing curriculum.
