01 Mar 2018TL;DR: Two popular ML techniques like Voting Classifier and Deep Neural Network (DNN) Classifier are used to predict cervical growth in this work, which gives how effectively ML systems predict cervical malignancy.
Abstract: Cervical tumor is one of the far-reaching sicknesses among ladies in India and around the world. Early analysis is good for better treatment, yet due to vulnerability in detecting cancer cells becoming complex. Machine Learning (ML) systems can be used to create tools for doctors in the conclusion of cervical growth, which will enormously upgrade the survival rate of patients. In this work, two popular ML techniques like Voting Classifier and Deep Neural Network (DNN) Classifier are used to predict cervical growth. The cervical cancer (risk factors) datasets from UCI store was utilized as a preparation set to assess and look at the execution of the two ML classifiers in terms of accuracy and other false rate measures. Outcomes acquired in this paper give how effectively ML systems predict cervical malignancy.

TL;DR: In this article, the reactivity among cement particles, a microstructural approach towards analyzing the material, and its performance, was presented to evaluate the strength and few durability properties.
Abstract: Agricultural wastes like sugarcane bagasse ash and rice husk ash can be reused as supplementary cement materials to produce eco-friendly buildings as plants of grass family contain more silica, which enhances the pozzolanic reactivity of the plant ashes. Researches so far were limited to evaluate the strength and few durability properties. This paper focuses on the reactivity among cement particles, a microstructural approach towards analyzing the material, and its performance. Compressive, splitting tensile strength tests, durability tests like water absorption and RCPT have been performed for 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% replacement of sugarcane bagasse ash in cement. An increase in strength, less absorption, and low permeability were observed from 0 to 15% replacement. 15% replacement of SCBA in concrete cured for 56 days has shown maximum durable compared to other samples that are cured for 28 and 56 days. The enhanced performance of PPC owes to thick lattice formed due to compounds formed, which lead to the densification of concrete.

TL;DR: A simple, selective, rapid, precise and economical reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method has been developed for the determination of lapatinib in tablet using gemcitabine hydrochloride as an internal standard.
Abstract: A simple, selective, rapid, precise and economical reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method has been developed for the determination of lapatinib in tablet using gemcitabine hydrochloride as an internal standard. Chromatography was carried out on an ODS C-18 RP column (4.6 mm i.d. ×250 mm) using a mixture of acetonitrile and water (50:50 v/v) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The drug was monitored at 232 nm. The retention times for lapatinib and gemcitabine hydrochloride were found to be 4.25±0.05 and 6.10±0.05 min, respectively. The method produced linear responses in the concentration range of 2-60 μg/ml of lapatinib. The limit of detection and limit of quantitation were 0.265 and 0.884 μg/ml, respectively.

TL;DR: In this paper, the seasonal distribution and dynamics of suspended particulate matter (SPM) of two meso-(Mandovi and Zuari) and four micro-tidal (Terekhol, Chapora, Sal, and Talpona) river estuaries of Goa, on the central west coast of India.
Abstract: Understanding patterns of erosion and sedimentation and their driving mechanisms is important for formulating a variety of estuarine management issues (conservation, shoreline protection, navigation, dredging and embanking). Therefore, the present study aims to determine the factors influencing the seasonal distribution and dynamics of suspended particulate matter (SPM) of two meso-(Mandovi and Zuari) and four micro-tidal (Terekhol, Chapora, Sal, and Talpona) river estuaries of Goa, on the central west coast of India. These estuaries exhibited salinity stratification near their mouths during the wet season and well-mixed water columns during the dry season. The SPM concentrations were two times higher in the wet season than in the dry season. Estuarine turbidity maximum (ETM) was a consistent feature in both the seasons at the mouth of the estuaries, except in the estuary of the Sal River. The in situ vertical distribution of SPM volume concentration and mean particle size allowed for a better visualization of the ETM formation and distribution. The gravitational circulation as well as flocculation at the salt–freshwater interface during the wet season and the impact of tidal and wind-induced currents at the river mouths during the dry season were primarily responsible for the formation of the ETMs.

TL;DR: In this article, three different performance characteristics like surface roughness, tool wear and root mean square of workpiece vibration velocity are considered to determine overall performance for boring of AISI 1040 steel with carbide tool inserts.
Abstract: In an automated manufacturing system, performance of machining is an important characteristic that affects the production cost especially in machining processes like milling and boring. Boring is one of critical machining processes, and therefore, it is very difficult to determine overall performance of the process. In the present work, an attempt was made to maximize overall performance of the process in order to reduce reworking and production cost. Three different performance characteristics like surface roughness, tool wear and root mean square of workpiece vibration velocity are considered to determine overall performance for boring of AISI 1040 steel with carbide tool inserts. According to User's Preference Rating, weights for the three performance characteristics are calculated using graph theory and matrix approach (GTMA). Overall performance or utility value of the machining process is calculated using utility concept. A response surface methodology (RSM) is used to optimize the process parameters for maximization of performance of the process. Weights of surface roughness, tool wear and root mean square of workpiece vibration velocity are calculated as 0.489, 0.367 and 0.184 respectively. Optimum process parameters were found to be 0.4 mm of nose radius, 170 m/min of cutting speed and 0.1358 mm/rev of feed rate.
