TL;DR: This paper presents an efficient de sign for distribution automation system and its implementation in remote/automatic monitoring and controlling of the relays (circuit breaker) by means of GSM Short Message Service (SMS) service, automatic decision making and continuous monitoring of distribution system components in real time.
Abstract: Distribution Automation can be used for service restoration and feeder reconfiguration, after isolation of faulty part when an abnormal situation occur in distribution system rapidly so that reliability improves, unserved energy loss and distribution system loss(I2R loss) reduces by optimal feeder configuration. As the cost of Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) services reducing day by day and have advantage of already existed network over other standards like Zigbee, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, is most reliable and efficient standard for communication in automation, offers easy implementation with low cost. This paper presents an efficient de sign for distribution automation system and its implementation in remote/automatic monitoring and controlling of the relays (circuit breaker) by means of GSM Short Message Service (SMS) service, automatic decision making and continuous monitoring of distribution system components in real time. The design is implemented on PSoC (Programmable System on Chip) and the GSM modem so that it can be used for a wide range of applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors designed, synthesized and characterized the novel pyrazolyl benzoxazole conjugates and investigated their anticancer activity by molecular docking studies, and the two-hybrid molecules 9b and 9c are found to be comparably potent with the standard drug doxorubicin and may act as drug lead compounds in medicinal chemistry aspect.
Abstract: Background: Nowadays, hybrid drugs have gained a significant role in the treatment of different health problems. Most of the hybrid molecules with different heterocyclic moieties were proved to be potent anti-tumor agents in cancer chemotherapy. Hence, the present study is aimed at the evaluation of in vitro anticancer activity of novel hybrid molecules (pyrazolyl benzoxazole conjugates) and to investigate their anticancer activity by molecular docking studies. Methods: Designed, synthesized and characterized the novel pyrazolyl benzoxazole conjugates. Anticancer activity of these compounds was determined by SRB assay. Then molecular docking studies were carried out against proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase (ATP-Src, PDB: 2BDF), a putative target for cancer. Results: All the synthesized compound derivatives were evaluated against MCF-7, KB, Hop62 and A549 cancer cell lines. Compounds 9b and 9c exhibited excellent anticancer activities with GI50 values of <0.1 μM against MCF-7 and A549 cell lines. Compound 9e exhibited good antitumor activity on MCF-7 and A-549 with GI50 values of 0.12 μM and 0.19 μM respectively. Compound 9g showed better anticancer activity on A-549 cancer cell line with GI50 value of 0.34 μM. Conclusion: The two-hybrid molecules 9b and 9c are found to be comparably potent with the standard drug doxorubicin and may act as drug lead compounds in medicinal chemistry aspect. The present docking investigation proved that having benzoxazole of compound 9c at benzofuran of reference compound N-acetyl pyrazoline derivative might be valid for contributing to anti-cancer activity.

TL;DR: This proposed technique includes non local preprocessing, fuzzy intensification to enhance the quality of the MR images, k-means clustering method for brain tumor segmentation, and the preliminary results show 100% detection rate in all 20 test sets.
Abstract: Brain tumor segmentation for MR images is a difficult and challenging task due to variation in type, size, location and shape of tumors. This paper presents an efficient and fully automatic brain tumor segmentation technique. This proposed technique includes non local preprocessing, fuzzy intensification to enhance the quality of the MR images, k-means clustering method for brain tumor segmentation. The results are evaluated based on accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, false positive rate, false negative rate, Jaccard similarity metric and Dice coefficient. The preliminary results show 100% detection rate in all 20 test sets.
