TL;DR: It was evident that both burnout and work engagement were mainly affected by the conditions of employment, and beginning teachers who experienced high levels of demands and low levels of resources were more likely to experience burnout, whereas inverse relationships were found for work engagement.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the predictors and outcomes of the concurrent experience of burnout and engagement in AOD workers and found that workers were more likely to be burnt out or overextended, rather than engaged, if they reported high work intensity, low organizational openness to change and low support.
