TL;DR: This paper talks about the generalize data validation framework between RDBMS and Hadoop, a data warehousing process that migrate data from source database by performing certain transformation rules over the extracted data.
Abstract: ETL (Extract, Transform and Loading) is a data warehousing process that migrate the data from source database by performing certain transformation rules over the extracted data. This transformed data is loaded back to the target database. With emergence of Big Data various organization are moving toward big data technology like Hadoop, Hadoop Ecosystem Projects like Hive and HBase to store their data. Organization uses data migration process to migrate data from RDBMS to Hadoop and further these data is used for various analysis purpose. But data migration task some time causes discrepancy in data due to various reasons which may lead to inaccurate data analysis. This paper talks about the generalize data validation framework between RDBMS and Hadoop.

TL;DR: Different types of cache designs, categories of cache-based side-channel attacks and existing detection and mitigation techniques for cache- based side- channel attacks are explored.
Abstract: Multitenancy is the biggest advantage of computing, where physical resources are shared among multiple clients. Virtualization facilitates multitenancy with the help of the hypervisor. Cloud providers virtualize the resources like CPU, network interfaces, peripherals, hard drives, and memory using hypervisor. In a virtualization environment, many virtual machines (VMs) can run on the same core with the help of the hypervisor by sharing the resources. The virtual machines (VMs) running on the same core are the target for the malicious or abnormal attacks like side-channel attacks. Cache-based attack in the cloud is one of the side-channel attacks. Cache is one of the resources shared among different VMs on the same core. The attacker can make use cache behavior and can perform the cache-based side-channel attack on the victim. In this paper, we explore different types of cache designs, categories of cache-based side-channel attacks and existing detection and mitigation techniques for cache-based side-channel attacks.

TL;DR: An attempt to remove conflict in the rotor design of the LSPMSM and optimizes both synchronous and asynchronous performances of the machine.
Abstract: Line Start Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (LSPMSM) has been proved as an economically feasible, high efficiency alternative to an induction motor where constant speed is desirable. These motors are having the properties of an induction motor during starting and synchronous motor during steady state period. The need of line starting, calls for a cage winding in addition to permanent magnets in the rotor, which increases the complications in rotor design, and restricts the choice of rotor geometries. There is always conflict in the rotor design of this machine. This conflict is in between synchronous and asynchronous performance of the machine which in turn is a conflict between cage and magnet placement in the rotor. This paper reports an attempt in the direction of removing this conflict and optimizes both synchronous and asynchronous performances of the machine. A new two-part rotor geometry is suggested and analyzed using the dynamic model of LSPMSM prepared in Simulink.
