TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied GL(3)-invariant integrable models solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz, and the actions of the generators of the Yangian and #x1d4b4;(gl3) on the Bethe vectors were considered.
Abstract: We study GL(3)-invariant integrable models solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz. Different formulas are given for the Bethe vectors and the actions of the generators of the Yangian 𝒴(gl3) on the Bethe vectors are considered. These actions are relevant for the calculation of correlation functions and form factors of local operators of the underlying quantum models.

TL;DR: A novel single-model QA method called SBROD (Smooth Backbone-Reliant Orientation-Dependent) method, which uses only the backbone protein conformation, and hence it can be applied to scoring coarse-grained protein models, which is potentially applicable to continuous gradient-based optimization of protein conformations.
Abstract: Motivation Protein quality assessment (QA) is a crucial element of protein structure prediction, a fundamental and yet open problem in structural bioinformatics. QA aims at ranking predicted protein models to select the best candidates. The assessment can be performed based either on a single model or on a consensus derived from an ensemble of models. The latter strategy can yield very high performance but substantially depends on the pool of available candidate models, which limits its applicability. Hence, single-model QA methods remain an important research target, also because they can assist the sampling of candidate models. Results We present a novel single-model QA method called SBROD. The SBROD (Smooth Backbone-Reliant Orientation-Dependent) method uses only the backbone protein conformation, and hence it can be applied to scoring coarse-grained protein models. The proposed method deduces its scoring function from a training set of protein models. The SBROD scoring function is composed of four terms related to different structural features: residue-residue orientations, contacts between backbone atoms, hydrogen bonding and solvent-solute interactions. It is smooth with respect to atomic coordinates and thus is potentially applicable to continuous gradient-based optimization of protein conformations. Furthermore, it can also be used for coarse-grained protein modeling and computational protein design. SBROD proved to achieve similar performance to state-of-the-art single-model QA methods on diverse datasets (CASP11, CASP12 and MOULDER). Availability and implementation The standalone application implemented in C++ and Python is freely available at https://gitlab.inria.fr/grudinin/sbrod and supported on Linux, MacOS and Windows. TL;DR: The quality of the discrete flux in a reservoir simulator has great effect on the front behavior and the water breakthrough time, and the new nonlinear monotone finite volume method has a number of important advantages over the traditional linear discretizations.
Abstract: We present a new nonlinear monotone finite volume method for diffusion equation and its application to two-phase flow model. We consider full anisotropic discontinuous diffusion or permeability tensors on conformal polyhedral meshes. The approximation of the diffusive flux uses the nonlinear two-point stencil which provides the conventional seven-point stencil for the discrete diffusion operator on cubic meshes. We show that the quality of the discrete flux in a reservoir simulator has great effect on the front behavior and the water breakthrough time. We compare two two-point flux approximations (TPFA), the proposed nonlinear TPFA and the conventional linear TPFA, and multipoint flux approximation (MPFA). The new nonlinear scheme has a number of important advantages over the traditional linear discretizations. Compared to the linear TPFA, the nonlinear TPFA demonstrates low sensitivity to grid distortions and provides appropriate approximation in case of full anisotropic permeability tensor. For nonorthogonal grids or full anisotropic permeability tensors, the conventional linear TPFA provides no approximation, while the nonlinear flux is still first-order accurate. The computational work for the new method is higher than the one for the conventional TPFA, yet it is rather competitive. Compared to MPFA, the new scheme provides sparser algebraic systems and thus is less computational expensive. Moreover, it is monotone which means that the discrete solution preserves the nonnegativity of the differential solution.

TL;DR: In this article, a search for a heavy right-handed W boson decaying to a heavy neutrino and a charged lepton in events with two same-flavor leptons (e or μ) and two jets is presented.
Abstract: A search for a heavy right-handed W boson (W$_{R}$) decaying to a heavy right-handed neutrino and a charged lepton in events with two same-flavor leptons (e or μ) and two jets, is presented. The analysis is based on proton-proton collision data, collected by the CMS Collaboration at the LHC in 2016 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{−1}$. No significant excess above the standard model expectation is seen in the invariant mass distribution of the dilepton plus dijet system. Assuming that couplings are identical to those of the standard model, and that only one heavy neutrino flavor N$_{R}$ contributes significantly to the W$_{R}$ decay width, the region in the two-dimensional $ \left({m}_{{\mathrm{W}}_{\mathrm{R}}},{m}_{{\mathrm{N}}_{\mathrm{R}}}\right) $ mass plane excluded at 95% confidence level extends to approximately $ {m}_{{\mathrm{W}}_{\mathrm{R}}}=4.4 $ TeV and covers a large range of right-handed neutrino masses below the W$_{R}$ boson mass. This analysis provides the most stringent limits on the W$_{R}$ mass to date.
