Abstract: During the summer of 2012, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a hitherto unknown coronavirus (CoV) was isolated from the sputum of a patient with acute pneumonia and renal failure ([1][1], [2][2]). The isolate was provisionally called human coronavirus Erasmus Medical Center (EMC) ([3][3]). Shortly thereafter

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the estimated oral intake with a threshold of toxicological concern derived from chronic oral toxicity data for structurally-related compounds, and showed that the oral TTC values are valid for topical exposures and that relationship between the external topical dose and the internal dose can be taken into account by conservative default adjustment factors.

TL;DR: Spin Control Controlling and manipulating the spin of an electron is a central requirement for applications in spintronics and an efficient and simple superconducting-based single-electron transistor that can produce spin current with controlled flow is designed and fabricated.
Abstract: Spin manipulation using electric currents is one of the most promising directions in the field of spintronics. We used neutron scattering to observe the influence of an electric current on the magnetic structure in a bulk material. In the skyrmion lattice of manganese silicon, where the spins form a lattice of magnetic vortices similar to the vortex lattice in type II superconductors, we observe the rotation of the diffraction pattern in response to currents that are over five orders of magnitude smaller than those typically applied in experimental studies on current-driven magnetization dynamics in nanostructures. We attribute our observations to an extremely efficient coupling of inhomogeneous spin currents to topologically stable knots in spin structures.

Abstract: Regional policies for entrepreneurship are currently going through a transition from increasing the quantity of entrepreneurship to increasing the quality of entrepreneurship. The next step will be the transition from entrepreneurship policy towards policy for an entrepreneurial economy. The entrepreneurial ecosystem approach has been heralded as a new framework accommodating these transitions. This approach starts with the entrepreneurial actor, but emphasizes the context of productive entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is not only the output of the system, entrepreneurs are important players themselves in creating the ecosystem and keeping it healthy. This research briefing reviews the entrepreneurial ecosystem literature and its shortcomings, and provides a novel synthesis. The entrepreneurial ecosystem approach speaks directly to practitioners, but its causal depth and evidence base is rather limited. This article provides a novel synthesis including a causal scheme of how the framework and sy...
