Synthetic Heme-Peptide Complexes
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and characterization of mesomolecular synthetic analogues of heme proteins was reported. But the peptides were restricted to amphiphilic 15-mers with a restricted repertoire of amino acid residues and the remaining residues of the sequences were chosen to encourage helix formation.

Limited proteolysis of thermolysin by subtilisin: isolation and characterization of a partially active enzyme derivative.
TL;DR: Thermolysin S, which is therefore a stable complex of fragments 5-224(225) and 225(226)-316, shows a shift in optimum pH of about 1 unit toward the acid range with respect to intact thermolysin and a Km essentially unchanged, with furylacryloyl-Gly-Leu-NH2 as substrate.

Conformational analysis of peptides corresponding to all the secondary structure elements of protein L B1 domain: Secondary structure propensities are not conserved in proteins with the same fold
TL;DR: It is indicated that for a protein to fold, there is no need for large native‐like secondary structure propensities, although a minimum tendency to avoid non‐native structures and to favor native ones could be required.
