Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of the unfolding process of lipocalin-type prostaglandin D synthase

TL;DR: L-PGDS is a unique protein whose enzyme activity and ligand-binding property are biphasically altered during the unfolding process by denaturant, as monitored by CD spectra of the bound ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polyphenylene dendrimers as scaffolds for shape-persistent multiple peptide conjugates.

TL;DR: Novel functionalized cyclopentadienones have been synthesized whose Diels-Alder cycloaddition with various core molecules leads to polyphenylene dendrimers possessing (protected) amino or carboxyl groups, which allows the design of a dendritic scaffold with a specific number of different anchor groups on its periphery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Circular dichroism and conformational analysis of the membrane‐modifying peptide ‐N‐t‐Boc‐(Aib‐L‐Ala)5‐Gly‐Ala‐Aib‐Pro‐Ala‐Aib‐Aib‐Glu‐(OBzl)‐Gln‐OMe with respect to alamethicin

TL;DR: The conformational analysis of the CD spectrum is reported for the synthetic and membrane‐modifying nonadecapeptide analog of alamethicin N‐t‐Boc‐(Aib‐L‐Ala)5‐Gly‐AlA‐AIB‐Pro‐Al a‐Aib-Aib'Glu(OBzl)‐ Gln‐OMe.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure of the membrane reconstituted transmembrane-juxtamembrane peptide EGFR(622-660) and its interaction with Ca2+/calmodulin.

TL;DR: Solid-state NMR and polarized FTIR measurements of peptides corresponding to the TM plus JM regions of EGFR reconstituted in model phospholipid membranes are presented to address the role of the short cytoplasmic JM sequence in regulating EGFR activity and show that the TM domain is helical with a transition to non-helical structure at the TM-JM boundary.
