Different cellular fatty acid pattern behaviours of two strains of Listeria monocytogenes Scott A and CNL 895807 under different temperature and salinity conditions

TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the CNL strain showed different behaviours of low thermal and salt adaptation to maintain membrane fluidity, which are based both on an increase of anteiso-branched- chain fatty acids, and a significant decrease of straight-chain fatty acids.

Fatty acid and polar lipid composition in the classification of Cellulomonas, Oerskovia and related taxa

TL;DR: Two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography showed that almost identical and very characteristic polar lipid patterns were given by all the organisms under study: the only major components were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosph atidylinositol and two phospho-glycolipids chromatographing similarly to, but distinguishable from, the mono- and diacyl phosphatidolinositols characteristic of Nocardia and other actinomycetes.
