Ultrasonic effect on multicomponent nanoheterostructures
E. K. Naimi,O. I. Rabinovich +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the ultrasonic effect on the characteristics of GaP and AlGaInN multicomponent nano-hetero-structures has been studied and it was found that the irradiation at frequencies of ∼105 Hz for several hours leads to a significant degradation of the characteristics and shifts the luminescence spectral peak of LEDs based on these structures.

Feedback Reversing Design Method for Uniform Illumination in LED Backlighting With Extended Source
TL;DR: In this paper, a feedback reversing design method is proposed to solve this problem, including calculation of feedback optimization ratios (FOR) to achieve uniform illumination for extended source and generate the required light intensity distribution freeform lens.

Charge-carrier concentration and temperature in quantum wells of laser heterostructures under spontaneous-and stimulated-emission conditions
TL;DR: In this paper, the charge carrier concentration and the temperature of hot electrons and holes in quantum-well laser nanostructures in the regimes of spontaneous and stimulated emission were determined as functions of the current density.

Enhanced Light Output Power of InGaN/GaN Light Emitting Diodes with Embedded Air Prisms
Hyung Gu Kim,Hee Yun Kim,Hyun Kyu Kim,Jae Hyoung Ryu,Ji Hye Kang,Nam Han,Periyayya Uthirakumar,Chang-Hee Hong +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the InGaN/GaN light emitting diodes (LEDs) were grown by selective metallorganic chemical vapor deposition with embedded air prisms (EAPs) via a wet etching process.

Origin of efficiency droop in GaN-based light-emitting diodes
Min-Ho Kim,Martin F. Schubert,Qi Dai,Jong Kyu Kim,E. Fred Schubert,Joachim Piprek,Yongjo Park +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the efficiency droop in GaInN∕GaN multiple-quantum well (MQW) light-emitting diodes was investigated and it was shown that the droop is not related to MQW efficiency but rather to the recombination of carriers outside the MqW region.
