TLDR
In this article, a review of tree physiological responses to key environmental stress factors and their combinations are analyzed from seedlings to mature trees, concluding that combined stresses can influence survival of large trees even more than chronic exposure to a single predictable stress such as drought.

Climate-driven adaptive responses to drought of dominant tree species from Patagonia

TL;DR: Results show species-specific responses to water stress and that adaptive variation at distinct provenances has a genetic basis that is maintained despite potential gene flow and are suggested for long-term management of vulnerable taxa to desiccation as the mesic N. dombeyi .

Waterlogging effects on growth and physiological characteristics of Azadirachta excelsa seedlings

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of waterlogging were examined on growth and physiological characteristics of Azadiractha excelsa, one of the famous indigenous tree species used for urban landscape.
Journal ArticleDOI

How does neighbourhood tree species composition affect growth characteristics of oak saplings

TL;DR: The investigation of the impact of local neighbourhood tree species composition on various above- and belowground growth characteristics of four year old oak saplings in two sites with contrasting abiotic conditions suggests that admixing certain tree species can have considerable positive impact.

Clonal Propagation of Detarium microcarpum and Khaya senegalensis A Step toward Clonal Forestry in Burkina Faso

TL;DR: Developing efficient and simple clonal propagation methods for two indigenous species, Detarium microcarpum and Khaya senegalensis, and to compare the growth of sexual and asexual propagules are developed, revealing that root suckers and seedling sprouts had a closer morphological resemblance.

Climate change 2007: the physical science basis

TL;DR: The first volume of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report as mentioned in this paper was published in 2007 and covers several topics including the extensive range of observations now available for the atmosphere and surface, changes in sea level, assesses the paleoclimatic perspective, climate change causes both natural and anthropogenic, and climate models for projections of global climate.
