TLDR
In this article, a review of tree physiological responses to key environmental stress factors and their combinations are analyzed from seedlings to mature trees, concluding that combined stresses can influence survival of large trees even more than chronic exposure to a single predictable stress such as drought.

Spatial Prediction Models for Soil Stoichiometry in Complex Terrains: A Case Study of Schrenk’s Spruce Forest in the Tianshan Mountains

TL;DR: In this article , the spatial patterns of concentrations of soil carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus in Schrenk's spruce (Picea schrenkiana Fisch. & C. A. Mey) forest in the Tianshan Mountains were estimated using four regression models: multiple linear regression, stepwise regression, ridge regression and lasso regression.

Climate change effects on UK woodlands: can species' interactions mitigate the impacts of increased drought?

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the role of climate change in growing seasons length and found that climate change was correlated with the number of seasons reaching a certain length and with the amount of rainfall.

Remote sensing tools for the objective quantification of tree structural condition from individual trees to landscape scale assessment

Jon Murray
TL;DR: The research presented in this thesis develops RS tools for assessing tree structural condition, at a range of investigative scales which will enable resource-limited tree managers to direct remedial interventions in an optimised and precise way.

Carbon Allocation of Quercus mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb. across Different Life Stages Differed by Tree and Shrub Growth Forms at the Driest Site of Its Distribution

TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined the effect of tree-to-shrub shift on non-structural carbohydrate (NSC) storage in Quercus mongolica Fisch.

Climate change 2007: the physical science basis

TL;DR: The first volume of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report as mentioned in this paper was published in 2007 and covers several topics including the extensive range of observations now available for the atmosphere and surface, changes in sea level, assesses the paleoclimatic perspective, climate change causes both natural and anthropogenic, and climate models for projections of global climate.

Chlorophyll fluorescence—a practical guide

TL;DR: An introduction for the novice into the methodology and applications of chlorophyll fluorescence is provided and a selection of examples are used to illustrate the types of information that fluorescence can provide.
