TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of the Molybdenum chemistry and its application in various areas of industry, such as mining, automotive, agriculture, and economic aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvatochromism of Mono- and Dimolybdenum Coordination Compounds of Dipyridyloctatetraene and Linear Solvation Energy Relationship Models Based on the Kamlet-Taft and Drago Scales of Solvent Polarity.
TL;DR: The heteroleptic molybdenum complexes have been analyzed quantitatively by means of linear solvation energy relationships based on Kamlet-Taft solvatochromism parameters, as well as on Drago's "unified scale of solvent polarity".

Synthesis and dynamic nuclear magnetic resonance studies of pentafluorobenzenethiolate complexes of molybdenum and tungsten. The crystal and molecular structures of [W(SC6F5)3(CO)(η5-C5H5)]•O.5CH2Cl2 and [N(PPh3)2][Mo(SC6F5)4(η5-C5H5)]
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction between [WBr 3 (CO) 2 (η 5 -C 5 H 5 )] and excess of Tl(SC 6 F 5 ) affords Tl[WBr 2 (CO), η 5 −C 5H 5 )] (2b) as the major product and [W(SC6F 5 ) 3 ( CO), Δ − 5 − C 5 H5 )] (3) as minor product.

A General Method for the Synthesis of Heterometal Clusters of the M2Fe2S4‐Cubane Type (M Cr, Mo)
TL;DR: In this article, Roedig et al. proposed a Tetrahedron Leu (TLEU) based approach to Tetrahedral tetrahedra, and showed that it is possible to construct a TetRAH-Leu from a single TLEU.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure–redox potential relations of metal complexes. Part 1. Organodiazenido-complexes of molybdenum: neighbouring-group influence on redox potential
TL;DR: Aryldiazenido-complexes undergo reversible one-electron oxidation to stable cations in non-aqueous electrolytes at platinum or vitreous carbon electrodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Are cationic η3-allyl complexes general precursors to metallacyclobutanes? Synthesis and structure of μ-chloro-bis[(η3-allyl)-2,2′-bipyridyldicarbonylmolybdenum(II)] tetrafluoroborate
TL;DR: In particular, the factors which determine whether the terminal carbons are attacked or whether the central carbon is attacked (giving a metallacyclobutane) are exposed in the reactions of various η 3 -allyl complexes with nucleophiles as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ditropylmolybdenum complexes by the sodium reduction of [Mo(CO)3(η-C7H7)][BF4]. X-Ray crystal structure of the ditropyl complex “Mo(CO)3”2(η6,η′6-C14H14)
TL;DR: In this article, the results of an X-ray crystallographic study confirm that the hydrogen atoms of the linking carbon atoms are both endo with respect to molybdenum.
Journal ArticleDOI
