TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a survey of the Molybdenum chemistry and its application in various areas of industry, such as mining, automotive, agriculture, and economic aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvatochromism of Mono- and Dimolybdenum Coordination Compounds of Dipyridyloctatetraene and Linear Solvation Energy Relationship Models Based on the Kamlet-Taft and Drago Scales of Solvent Polarity.
TL;DR: The heteroleptic molybdenum complexes have been analyzed quantitatively by means of linear solvation energy relationships based on Kamlet-Taft solvatochromism parameters, as well as on Drago's "unified scale of solvent polarity".

Synthesis and dynamic nuclear magnetic resonance studies of pentafluorobenzenethiolate complexes of molybdenum and tungsten. The crystal and molecular structures of [W(SC6F5)3(CO)(η5-C5H5)]•O.5CH2Cl2 and [N(PPh3)2][Mo(SC6F5)4(η5-C5H5)]
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction between [WBr 3 (CO) 2 (η 5 -C 5 H 5 )] and excess of Tl(SC 6 F 5 ) affords Tl[WBr 2 (CO), η 5 −C 5H 5 )] (2b) as the major product and [W(SC6F 5 ) 3 ( CO), Δ − 5 − C 5 H5 )] (3) as minor product.

Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)cyclobutadiene complexes of molybdenum and the existence of high barriers to rotation of the cyclobutadiene ring
TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of high barriers to rotation of the C4 ring about the metal-ligand axis in both complexes were investigated. But the results were limited to tetrakis(trifluoromethyl)cyclobutadiene ring.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structure, and chemistry of sterically crowded metal carbonyl cluster compounds: [Fe3M(CO)14]2-, (M = Cr, Mo, W)
TL;DR: Synthese de [Fe 3 M(CO) 14 ] 2− par reaction de Fe 3 (CO) 11] 2− avec M( CO) 3 (CH 3 CN) 3. Structure du compose quand M=Cr
Journal ArticleDOI
Monometallic, homo- and hetero-bimetallic complexes based on redox-active tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borato molybdenum and tungsten nitrosyls. Part 7. Compounds containing strongly interacting redox centres derived from para-substituted anilines and phenols
Stephen M. Charsley,Chris Jones,Jon A. McCleverty,Bryan D. Neaves,Sarah J. Reynolds,Gianfranco Denti +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, Chen et al. showed that the redox centres in the bimetallic complexes influence each other strongly, and showed that both the monometallic and bimetal species undergo a one-electron reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reactions of co-ordinated ligands. Part 45. Ligand displacement and oxidative reactions of the carbyne complex [Mo(CCH2But){P(OMe)3}2(η-C5H5)]; crystal and molecular structures of [Mo{η3-RNCC(CH2But)CNR}-(CNR)2(η-C5H5)](R = 2,6-Me2C6H3), [Mo(CCHBut)I{P(OMe)3}2(η-C5H5)], and [M o{C(CH2But)P(O)(OMe)2}{P(OMe)3}(η-C5H5)]
Paul K. Baker,Geoffrey K. Barker,Daljit S. Gill,Michael Green,A. Guy Orpen,Ian D. Williams,Alan J. Welch +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray spectra of carbyne in the presence of free P(OMe)3 was studied and the mechanism of formation of these complexes was discussed in terms of rotation about CNR bonds and endo/exo isomerism.
