Transcriptome analysis of psoriasis in a large case-control sample: RNA-seq provides insights into disease mechanisms.

TLDR
In this article, the authors used high-throughput complementary DNA sequencing (RNA-seq) to assay the transcriptomes of lesional psoriatic and normal skin, which revealed multiple modules of coordinately expressed epidermal differentiation genes, overlapping significantly with genes regulated by the long noncoding RNA TINCR.

Mapping and quantifying mammalian transcriptomes by RNA-Seq.

TL;DR: Although >90% of uniquely mapped reads fell within known exons, the remaining data suggest new and revised gene models, including changed or additional promoters, exons and 3′ untranscribed regions, as well as new candidate microRNA precursors.
