Enriched environment preconditioning induced brain ischemic tolerance without reducing infarct volume and edema: the possible role of enrichment-related physical activity increase.

TL;DR: This study showed that PIEE improved the recovery of motor function, spatial learning and memory without reduction in brain edema or infarct volume and found thatPIEE robustly increased the level of physical activity of rats that positively correlated with the extent of neurobehavioral recovery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide association study identifies ITPR2 as a susceptibility gene for Kashin-Beck disease in Han Chinese.

TL;DR: The aim of this study was to identify susceptibility genes for KBD by conducting a 2‐stage genome‐wide association study (GWAS).

Spatial and cellular mapping of biomolecules in situ by high-throughput sequencing

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used proximal unique molecular identifiers reaction (VIPUR) microscopy methods to record the cellular co-localization and/or spatial distributions of arbitrary nucleic acid sequences, or other biomolecules tagged with nucleic sequences.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proton pump inhibitor utilisation and potentially inappropriate prescribing analysis: insights from a single-centred retrospective study.

TL;DR: The results indicate the challenge of PPI use was accompanied by unapproved indications, frequent inappropriate co-prescription with GCs and excessive dosages.

Crispr mediated in vivo modeling and genetic screening of tumor growth and metastasis

TL;DR: In this paper, in-vivo methods for modeling tumor formation and/or tumor evolution comprising the use of eukaryotic cells in which one or more genetic target locus has been altered by the CRISPR/Cas system, and which cells are transplanted in non-human Eukaryote as a model system for tumor creation and tumor evolution are disclosed.
