Journal ArticleDOI
Liver Transplantation for Erythropoietic Protoporphyria With Hepatic Failure: A Case Report
TL;DR: An EPP Chinese man with end-stage liver disease was successfully transplanted and a 3-year follow-up study of protoporphyrin levels, liver tests, and liver biopsies showed no EPP recurrence after liver transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rare mutations in the autophagy-regulating gene AMBRA1 contribute to human neural tube defects.
Jianhong Ye,Youli Tong,Jiashun Lv,Rui Peng,Shuxia Chen,Lele Kuang,Lele Kuang,Ke Su,Yufang Zheng,Ting Zhang,Feng Zhang,Li Jin,Xue-Yan Yang,Hongyan Wang +13 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that rare mutations of the autophagy regulator gene AMBRA1 may contribute to the etiology of human neural tube defects, and trehalose is a promising treatment for a subset of NTDs caused by Autophagy impairment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intranasal pediatric parainfluenza virus-vectored SARS-CoV-2 vaccine is protective in monkeys
Cyril Le Nouën,Christine E. Nelson,Xueqiao Liu,Hong-Su Park,Yumiko Matsuoka,Cindy Luongo,Celia Santos,Lijuan Yang,Richard Herbert,Ashley Castens,Ian N. Moore,Temeri Wilder-Kofie,Rashida Moore,A. Walker,Feng Zhang,Paolo Lusso,Reed F. Johnson,Nicole L. Garza,Laura E. Via,Shirin Munir,Daniel L. Barber,Ursula J. Buchholz +21 more
TL;DR: In this article , a live-attenuated parainfluenza-virus-vectored vaccine candidate expressing SARS-CoV-2 prefusion-stabilized spike (S) protein (B/HPIV3/S-6P) was evaluated in rhesus macaques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Curcumol alleviates liver fibrosis by inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated necroptosis of hepatic stellate cells through Sirt1/NICD pathway
Su-Min Sun,Sheng Huan,Zhanghao Li,Yue Yao,Ying Su,Siwei Xia,Shijun Wang,Xuefen Xu,Jiangjuan Shao,Zili Zhang,Feng Zhang,Jinbo Fu,Shizhong Zheng +12 more
TL;DR: It is proved that ER stress regulated curcumol-induced necroptosis in HSCs via Sirtuin-1(Sirt1)/Notch signaling pathway, which led to degradation of NICD, thereby inhibiting Notch signalling pathway to alleviate liver fibrosis.
