Journal ArticleDOI

Low-energy extracorporeal shock wave therapy promotes BDNF expression and improves functional recovery after spinal cord injury in rats

TL;DR: Findings indicate that low-energy ESWT promotes BDNF expression at the lesion site and reduces the neural tissue damage and functional impairment following spinal cord injury.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rho-kinase as a novel gene therapeutic target in treatment of cold ischemia/reperfusion-induced acute lethal liver injury: effect on hepatocellular NADPH oxidase system.

TL;DR: The results suggest that Rho-kinase-mediated pathway plays a crucial role in the ROS production through NADPH oxidase in hepatocytes during the hyperacute phase of reperfusion in vivo, and may be a new therapeutic target for the prevention of primary graft failure in liver transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prognostic Links Between OCT-Delineated Coronary Morphologies and Coronary Functional Abnormalities in Patients With INOCA.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined whether there are prognostic links between coronary morphologies and coronary functional abnormalities in ischemia and nonobstructive coronary artery disease (INOCA) patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Recent Advances in the Development of Cardiovascular Biomarkers.

TL;DR: The authors’ previous work on biomarkers of oxidative stress provided evidence for potential pathways that may explain the link between air pollution exposure and acute cardiovascular events, and novel research in the field of biomarkers for CVD is highlighted.
