Prognostic Impact of Loop Diuretics in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure – Effects of Addition of Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System Inhibitors and β-Blockers –

TL;DR: Chronic use of loop diuretics is significantly associated with worse prognosis in CHF patients in a dose-dependent manner, whereas the triple combination of RAAS inhibitor, MRA, and β-blocker is associated with better prognosis when combined with low-dose loop diUREtics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Four-dimensional flow magnetic resonance imaging visualizes drastic change in vortex flow in the main pulmonary artery after percutaneous transluminal pulmonary angioplasty in a patient with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension

TL;DR: A 54-year-old woman with a history of venous thromboembolism treated with warfarin for 9 months was referred to the authors' hospital because of exacerbating oedema and dyspnoea.
Journal ArticleDOI

OCT imaging for the management of pulmonary hypertension.

TL;DR: This study aimed to examine pulmonary artery morphology in pulmonary hypertension patients by using optical coherence tomography (OCT) for the first time to precisely examine this morphology in patients with high blood pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI

YAP plays a crucial role in the development of cardiomyopathy in lysosomal storage diseases

TL;DR: In this paper, a mouse model of LSD was developed, in which lysosomal acidification is impaired irreversibly and autophagy is inhibited at the degradation step and accumulation of autophagosomes is observed.
