Prognostic Impact of Loop Diuretics in Patients With Chronic Heart Failure – Effects of Addition of Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System Inhibitors and β-Blockers –
Masanobu Miura,Koichiro Sugimura,Yasuhiko Sakata,Satoshi Miyata,Soichiro Tadaki,Takeshi Yamauchi,Takeo Onose,Kanako Tsuji,Ruri Abe,Takuya Oikawa,Shintaro Kasahara,Kotaro Nochioka,Jun Takahashi,Hiroaki Shimokawa +13 more
TL;DR: Chronic use of loop diuretics is significantly associated with worse prognosis in CHF patients in a dose-dependent manner, whereas the triple combination of RAAS inhibitor, MRA, and β-blocker is associated with better prognosis when combined with low-dose loop diUREtics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intramuscular gene transfer of FGF-2 attenuates endothelial dysfunction and inhibits intimal hyperplasia of vein grafts in poor-runoff limbs of rabbit.
Tetsuya Shoji,Yoshikazu Yonemitsu,Kimihiro Komori,Mitsugu Tanii,Hiroyuki Itoh,Shihoko Sata,Hiroaki Shimokawa,Mamoru Hasegawa,Katsuo Sueishi,Yoshihiko Maehara +9 more
TL;DR: The indications of therapeutic angiogenesis using SeV-hFGF2 to include not only limb salvage but also prevention of late graft failure are extended.
Journal ArticleDOI
Four-dimensional flow magnetic resonance imaging visualizes drastic change in vortex flow in the main pulmonary artery after percutaneous transluminal pulmonary angioplasty in a patient with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension
TL;DR: A 54-year-old woman with a history of venous thromboembolism treated with warfarin for 9 months was referred to the authors' hospital because of exacerbating oedema and dyspnoea.
Journal ArticleDOI
OCT imaging for the management of pulmonary hypertension.
Zhehao Dai,Yoshihiro Fukumoto,Shunsuke Tatebe,Koichiro Sugimura,Yutaka Miura,Kotaro Nochioka,Tatsuo Aoki,Saori Miyamichi-Yamamoto,Nobuhiro Yaoita,Kimio Satoh,Hiroaki Shimokawa +10 more
TL;DR: This study aimed to examine pulmonary artery morphology in pulmonary hypertension patients by using optical coherence tomography (OCT) for the first time to precisely examine this morphology in patients with high blood pressure.
Journal ArticleDOI
YAP plays a crucial role in the development of cardiomyopathy in lysosomal storage diseases
Shohei Ikeda,Jihoon Nah,Akihiro Shirakabe,Peiyong Zhai,Shin Ichi Oka,Sebastiano Sciarretta,Sebastiano Sciarretta,Kun-Liang Guan,Hiroaki Shimokawa,Junichi Sadoshima +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a mouse model of LSD was developed, in which lysosomal acidification is impaired irreversibly and autophagy is inhibited at the degradation step and accumulation of autophagosomes is observed.
