TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the magnetic topology spontaneously self-organizes in an Ohmical helical symmetry, with the new magnetic axis helically twisting around the geometrical axis of the torus, leaving a wide and symmetric thermal structure with large gradients in the electron temperature profile.

TL;DR: Brunsell et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the magnetic response to an applied resonant magnetic perturbation in the range of resistive-wall modes (RWMs) and found that the linear growth of low-n marginally stable RWMs is related to the so-called resonant-field amplification due to a dominant ∣n∣2 machine error field of about 2 G.
