TL;DR: In this article, a partial reflector surface structure was proposed to improve the isolation and correlation coefficient values between cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas (cDRAs) for multiband multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) applications.
Abstract: This letter presents a novel partial reflector surface structure to improve the isolation and correlation coefficient values between cylindrical dielectric resonator antennas (cDRAs) for multiband multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) applications. To achieve multiband characteristics, three different groups of cDRA are proposed to cover 5.2, 5.5, and 5.8 GHz bands, respectively. Each group has two cDRAs. Thus, three groups (i.e, six cDRA) are placed at the top of the substrate and each cDRA is excited using a coplanar waveguide-fed conformal strip-line. To achieve improved isolation, three different phase gradient frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) are designed, which operate at 5.2, 5.5, and 5.8 GHz bands, respectively. This phase-gradient FSS is utilized as a superstrate above each group of the DR elements. As a result, two different far-field patterns are achieved from each group of antenna elements, which deliver improved isolation as well as low field correlation. This exclusive technique offers more than 12 dB of enhancement in the isolation values and more than 70% improvement in the envelope correlation coefficient values, thus guaranteeing improved MIMO performance.

TL;DR: The study has used interpretive structural modelling (ISM) and Fuzzy MICMAC analysis to understand complex equation among variables from Indian manufacturing firm perspective and suggests top management support is the bottom level and business performance is the top level.
Abstract: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to understand possible linkage between variables that constitute a lean manufacturing enterprise. In the study the authors have tried to decode the complex relationship among variables which is missing in extant literature. Design/methodology/approach – In the study the authors have used systematic literature review (SLR) approach to identify the variables from extant literature and used interpretive structural modelling (ISM) and Fuzzy MICMAC analysis to understand complex equation among variables from Indian manufacturing firm perspective. Findings – The findings using ISM modeling indicate top management support is the bottom level and business performance is the top level. In order to further resolve conflicts the authors have further analyzed variables using Fuzzy MICMAC analysis which has further divided variables into four clusters. The Fuzzy MICMAC output suggests that top management support, real time production information, training and team work are the dr...

01 Dec 2011TL;DR: Simulation results illustrate the superiority of the designedAdder circuits against the conventional CMOS, TG and Hybrid adder circuits in terms of power, delay and power delay product (PDP) at low voltage.
Abstract: This paper presents a comparative study of highspeed, low-power and low voltage full adder circuits. Our approach is based on XOR-XNOR (4T) design full adder circuits combined in a single unit. This technique helps in reducing the power consumption and the propagation delay while maintaining low complexity of logic design. Simulation results illustrate the superiority of the designed adder circuits against the conventional CMOS, TG and Hybrid adder circuits in terms of power, delay and power delay product (PDP) at low voltage. Noise analysis shows designed full adder circuit's work at high frequency and high temperature satisfactorily. Simulation results reveal that the designed circuits exhibit lower PDP, more power efficiency and faster when compared to the available full adder circuits at low voltage. The design is implemented on UMC 0.18µm process models in Cadence Virtuoso Schematic Composer at 1.8 V single ended supply voltage and simulations are carried out on Spectre S.

TL;DR: In this article, the reuse of waste lignocellulose biomass (rice husk and sugarcane bagasse) for the synthesis of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and further conversion of this CMC into a biodegradable film was discussed.
Abstract: The current study stresses on the reuse of waste lignocellulose biomass (rice husk and sugarcane bagasse) for the synthesis of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and further conversion of this CMC into a biodegradable film. Addition of commercial starch was done to form biodegradable film due to its capacity to form a continuous matrix. Plasticizers such as Glycerol and citric acid were used to provide flexibility and strength to the film. Biopolymer film obtained from sugarcane bagasse CMC showed maximum tensile strength and elongation in comparison to the film synthesized from commercial CMC and CMC obtained from rice husk. It has been observed that an increase in sodium glycolate/NaCl content in CMC imposed an adverse effect on tensile strength. Opacity, moisture content, and solubility of the film increased with a rise in the degree of substitution of CMC. Therefore, CMC obtained from sugarcane bagasse was better candidate in preparing biopolymer/biocomposite film.
