TL;DR: In this article, an attempt for modeling of electrical discharge diamond grinding (EDDG) in surface grinding mode which is known as the surface-electrical discharge diamond grinding (S-EDDGs) process is presented.
Abstract: Material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness (SR) have always been a big deal during any manufacturing process. Metal matrix composites (MMCs) can't be effectively machined by conventional grinding and process is found to be slow when machined by electrical discharge machining (EDM). Present work is an attempt for modeling of electrical discharge diamond grinding (EDDG) in surface grinding mode which is known as the surface-electrical discharge diamond grinding (S-EDDG) process. The technique used for modeling the process is artificial neural network (ANN) through traingdx training function. Experiments were carried out on newly developed and fabricated surface grinding setup for EDDG on a die sinking EDM machine for Al-10wt%SiC and Al-10wt%Al2O3 composite workpiece. Prediction through modeling of S-EDDG process indicates that MRR increases as pulse current, wheel speed, workpiece speed, depth of cut increases, and decreases with increase in duty factor. The Ra increases with increase of current, dut...

TL;DR: In order to estimate the testing effort, this paper makes an attempt to establish Cognitive Information Complexity Measure (CICM) as an appropriate estimation tool.
Abstract: Software Testing is an important process of software development that is performed to support and enhance reliability and quality of the software. It consist of estimating testing effort, selecting suitable test team, designing test cases, executing the software with those test cases and examining the results produced by those executions. Studies indicate that more than fifty percent of the cost of software development is devoted to testing, with the percentage for testing critical software being even higher. Unless we can predict the testing effort and find efficient ways to perform effective testing, the percentage of development costs devoted to testing will increase significantly coupled with mismatch in project costing and development schedule. In order to estimate the testing effort, this paper makes an attempt to establish Cognitive Information Complexity Measure (CICM) as an appropriate estimation tool.

01 Dec 2016TL;DR: This paper presents one of such method which is termed as Optical Flow technique, found to be more robust and efficient for moving object detection and the same has been shown by an experiment in the paper.
Abstract: Object detection in a video is a challenging task in the field of image processing. Some applications of the domain are Human Machine Interaction (HMI), Security and Surveillance, Supplemented Authenticity, Traffic Monitoring on Roads, Medicinal Imaging etc. There happens to be a number of methods available for object detection. Each of the method has some constraints on the kind of application it has been used for. This paper presents one of such method which is termed as Optical Flow technique. This technique is found to be more robust and efficient for moving object detection and the same has been shown by an experiment in the paper. Applying optical flow to an image gives flow vectors of the points corresponding to the moving objects. Next part of marking the required moving object of interest counts to the post processing. Post processing is the legitimate contribution of the paper for moving object detection problem. This here is discussed as Blob Analysis. It is tested on datasets available online, real time videos and also on videos recorded manually. The results show that the moving objects are successfully detected using optical flow technique and the required post processing.
