Journal ArticleDOI

A novel multi-purpose Zn-MOF fluorescent sensor for 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine, picric acid, La3+ and Ca2+: Synthesis, structure, selectivity, sensitivity and recyclability.

TL;DR: Real-time fluorescence quenching responses and good reversibility were observed in the fluorescence titration experiments with nano-molar scale detection limits for 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine and picric acid and complex 1 could be a promising fluorescent sensor for explosives and metal ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective molecular-gating adsorption in a novel copper-based metal-organic framework

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors showed the successful incorporation of "molecular gates" into one dimensional (1D) pores of a novel copper-based MOF, which was formed by stacking of bumpy 2D sheets composed of Cu(I) ions and 2,4,6-tri(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tpt) ligands.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review on synthesis, crystal structure and functionality of naphthalenedicarboxylate ligated metal-organic frameworks

TL;DR: A comprehensive overview of metal-organic frameworks using Naphthalenedicarboxylate (NDC) ligands can be found in this article, where the authors provide a comprehensive insight into the design and synthesis of various MOFs using NDC ligands and their probable applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Two Sets of Metal Organic Frameworks along the Lanthanide Series Constructed by 2,3-Dimethylsuccinate: Structures, Topologies, and Strong Emission without Ligand Sensitization

TL;DR: In this paper, the crystal structure has been solved for the Pr (1)-, Sm (3)-, and Ho (7)-containing compounds by means of single-crystal XRD methods, whereas powder XRD Rietveld refinement was used for the rest of the MOFs.
Journal ArticleDOI

A series of metal–organic frameworks based on a semi-rigid bifunctional ligand 5-[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methoxy] isophthalic acid and flexible N-donor bridging ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, the metal-organic frameworks, namely, [Co2(L)2(biim-4)(H2O)2] (1), [Mn2L]2(Biim- 4)(H 2O) 2] (2), [Ni2L 2(L 2 )2 (biim 4 ), [NiL 2 (L) 2 (BiIM-4), H2O 2 ] (3,4)-connected network with topology of (4·52)2 (54·82)(42·52

Selective gas adsorption and separation in metal–organic frameworks

TL;DR: This critical review starts with a brief introduction to gas separation and purification based on selective adsorption, followed by a review of gas selective adsorbents in rigid and flexible MOFs, and primary relationships between adsorptive properties and framework features are analyzed.

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
