Effect of temperature on hydrogen and carbon dioxide adsorption hysteresis in an ultramicroporous MOF

TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature effect of hydrogen (H 2 ) and carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) adsorption/desorption hysteresis in an ultramicroporous MOF and a method to obtain accurate isosteric heats of adorption in small-pore adsorbent materials are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

A series of coordination polymers constructed by the semi-rigid bifunctional ligand 5-((1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methoxy) isophthalic acid: syntheses, structures and the role of solvents

TL;DR: In this paper, the coordination polymers were synthesized in mixed solvents under solvothermal conditions and the properties of the ligand and compounds were characterized using X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, PXRD and TGA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tuning the selectivity of light hydrocarbons in natural gas in a family of isoreticular MOFs

TL;DR: A new family of isoreticular chiral MOFs, prepared from oxamidato ligands derived from natural amino acids L-alanine, L-valine and L-leucine are reported, where, by increasing the length of the alkyl residue of the amino acid, the charge density of the MOF's channels can be tuned, decreasing the adsorption preference towards methane over light hydrocarbons thus improving this purification process.
Journal ArticleDOI

An anionic metal–organic framework constructed from a triazole-functionalized diisophthalate featuring hierarchical cages for selective adsorptive C2H2/CH4 and CO2/CH4 separation

TL;DR: In this paper, a triazole-functionalized bent diisophthalate ligand was used to construct an anionic copper-based MOF under solvothermal reaction conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective Adsorption of n-Alkanes from n-Octane on Metal-Organic Frameworks: Length Selectivity.

TL;DR: It can be concluded that matching the cavity size of adsorbents with the molecular length of n-alknaes is more important parameter than the MOF's hydrophilicity/hydrophobicity for the selective adsorption/separation of alkanes.

Reporting physisorption data for gas/solid systems with special reference to the determination of surface area and porosity (Recommendations 1984)

TL;DR: Mise au point comportant des definitions generales et la terminologie, la methodologie utilisee, les procedes experimentaux, les interpretations des donnees d'adsorption, les determinations de l'aire superficielle, and les donnes sur la mesoporosite et la microporosite.

Functional porous coordination polymers.

TL;DR: The aim is to present the state of the art chemistry and physics of and in the micropores of porous coordination polymers, and the next generation of porous functions based on dynamic crystal transformations caused by guest molecules or physical stimuli.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective gas adsorption and separation in metal–organic frameworks

TL;DR: This critical review starts with a brief introduction to gas separation and purification based on selective adsorption, followed by a review of gas selective adsorbents in rigid and flexible MOFs, and primary relationships between adsorptive properties and framework features are analyzed.

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and synthesis of an exceptionally stable and highly porous metal-organic framework

TL;DR: In this article, an organic dicarboxylate linker is used in a reaction that gives supertetrahedron clusters when capped with monocarboxyates.
