Syntheses, Structures and Third-Order Nonlinear Optical Properties of Two-Dimensional Rhombohedral Grid Coordination Polymers: [Cd(imz)3]2(BTC)·0.5H2O and [Cu4(H2O)2(imz)8](BTC)2·7H2O(BTC = 1, 2, 4, 5-benzenetetracarboxylate anion, imz = imidazole)
TL;DR: In this article, two novel two-dimensional transition metal coordination polymers have been reported by using single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, and FT-IR spectrum, which exhibited strong NLO absorption and strong self-focusing effects.

A new NbO type metal–organic framework for high acetylene and methane storage
Xing Duan,Xing Duan,Huizhen Wang,Yuanjing Cui,Yu Yang,Zhiyu Wang,Banglin Chen,Banglin Chen,Banglin Chen,Guodong Qian +9 more
TL;DR: A new NbO type metal-organic framework [Cu2(NPA)(H2O)2]-DMF5.5 (ZJU-9, H4NPA = 1,5-naphthalene-mphthalic acid) with moderately high permanent porosity, open metal sites and appropriate pore sizes was designed and synthesized, exhibiting high storage capacities for both acetylene and methane at room temperature.

Farhad Akbari Afkhami,Ali Akbar Khandar,Ghodrat Mahmoudi,Mojtaba Amini,Elies Molins,Piotr Garczarek,Janusz Lipkowski,Jonathan M. White,Alexander M. Kirillov +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, a new series of cadmium-II and zinc-II coordination polymers, formulated as {[Cd1.5(μ-L)(μ-CH3COO),μ-N3)(CH3OH)]·3 CH3OH}n (1), {[Zn(μ)-L)Br]·CH3HCO], [Zn-L]I]· CH3HO], [Cd2H5HCO]n (2), {Zn 2H5HO]n(3H

Lead(ii) coordination polymers driven by pyridine-hydrazine donors: from anion-guided self-assembly to structural features.
Ghodrat Mahmoudi,Farhad Akbari Afkhami,Alan R. Kennedy,Fedor I. Zubkov,Ennio Zangrando,Alexander M. Kirillov,Elies Molins,Mariusz P. Mitoraj,Damir A. Safin +8 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that the pyridine-hydrazine linkers are also excellent London dispersion donors, and that together with the donor-acceptor properties of the heavy (relativistic) PbII atoms and nucleophilic counterions lead to extended self-assembling of 1-4.
