Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of arrangement of functional groups on stability and gas adsorption properties in two regioisomeric copper bent diisophthalate frameworks

TL;DR: In this article, two regioisomeric diisophthalate ligands were rationally designed and synthesized, and their corresponding dicopper paddlewheel-based porous MOFs were successfully fabricated under suitable solvothermal conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective gas adsorption and unique phase transition properties in a stable magnesium metal-organic framework constructed from infinite metal chains

TL;DR: A 3D Magnesium MOF PCN-72 has been synthesized from the solvothermal reaction of Mg(NO3)2 and a linear ligand in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Denser Energetic Metal–Organic Frameworks via a Tandem Anion–Ligand Exchange Strategy

TL;DR: A tandem anion-ligand exchange strategy for synthesizing denser MOFs by using three-dimensional cationic MOFs with pillared layered structures as precursors and high-density anions and small monotopic ligands as exogenous guests is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

New highly ordered hydrophobic siloxane-based coordination polymers

TL;DR: In this paper, two H-bond polymers from carboxypropyl disubstituted disiloxane and bipyridyl compounds, as well as the starting components in different ratios were reacted with zinc acetate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three isoreticular ssa-type MOFs derived from bent diisophthalate ligands: exploring the substituent effect on structural stabilities and selective C2H2/CH4 and CO2/CH4 adsorption properties.

TL;DR: Permanent porosity studies reveal that the substituent has a significant effect on framework stabilities against desolvation, and methoxy-modified ZJNU-89 performs better than the methyl- modified ZJnU-88 in terms of uptake capacity and adsorption selectivity, which might be attributed to more suitable pore space of ZJ n-hexane.

Reporting physisorption data for gas/solid systems with special reference to the determination of surface area and porosity (Recommendations 1984)

TL;DR: Mise au point comportant des definitions generales et la terminologie, la methodologie utilisee, les procedes experimentaux, les interpretations des donnees d'adsorption, les determinations de l'aire superficielle, and les donnes sur la mesoporosite et la microporosite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional porous coordination polymers.

TL;DR: The aim is to present the state of the art chemistry and physics of and in the micropores of porous coordination polymers, and the next generation of porous functions based on dynamic crystal transformations caused by guest molecules or physical stimuli.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selective gas adsorption and separation in metal–organic frameworks

TL;DR: This critical review starts with a brief introduction to gas separation and purification based on selective adsorption, followed by a review of gas selective adsorbents in rigid and flexible MOFs, and primary relationships between adsorptive properties and framework features are analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and synthesis of an exceptionally stable and highly porous metal-organic framework

TL;DR: In this article, an organic dicarboxylate linker is used in a reaction that gives supertetrahedron clusters when capped with monocarboxyates.
