Abstract
We present an analysis of atmospheric neutrino data from a 33.0 kton yr (535-day) exposure of the Super-Kamiokande detector. The data exhibit a zenith angle dependent deficit of muon neutrinos which is inconsistent with expectations based on calculations of the atmospheric neutrino flux. Experimental biases and uncertainties in the prediction of neutrino fluxes and cross sections are unable to explain our observation. The data are consistent, however, with two-flavor ${\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\mu}}\ensuremath{\leftrightarrow}{\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\tau}}$ oscillations with ${sin}^{2}2\ensuremath{\theta}g0.82$ and $5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}l\ensuremath{\Delta}{m}^{2}l6\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1{0}^{\ensuremath{-}3}\mathrm{eV}{}^{2}$ at 90% confidence level.

Supersymmetric Dark Matter

TL;DR: In this article, the neutralino is proposed as the lightest superpartner in many supersymmetric theories, and it is shown how to calculate the cosmological abundance of neutralino and event rates for both direct and indirect detection schemes.

Cosmology and Fundamental Physics with the Euclid Satellite

Luca Amendola, +81 more
TL;DR: Euclid is a European Space Agency medium-class mission selected for launch in 2020 within the cosmic vision 2015-2025 program as discussed by the authors, which will explore the expansion history of the universe and the evolution of cosmic structures by measuring shapes and red-shift of galaxies as well as the distribution of clusters of galaxies over a large fraction of the sky.

Dark Energy Survey year 1 results: Cosmological constraints from galaxy clustering and weak lensing

T. M. C. Abbott, +199 more
- 27 Aug 2018 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the cosmological results from a combined analysis of galaxy clustering and weak gravitational lensing, using 1321 deg2 of griz imaging data from the first year of the Dark Energy Survey (DES Y1), were presented.

Oscillating neutrinos and μ→ e, γ

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the prediction for BR(μ→e,γ) is in general larger than the experimental upper bound, especially if the largest Yakawa coupling is O (1) and the solar data are explained by a large angle MSW effect, which recent analyses suggest as the preferred scenario.

Calculation of the flux of atmospheric neutrinos

TL;DR: The atmospheric muon–flux at high altitude and at sea level is studied to calibrate the neutrino-fluxes at low energies and high energies respectively and the agreement of the calculation with observations is satisfactory.
