Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. Zerovalent N-Heterocyclic Carbene Complexes of Palladium and Nickel Dimethyl Fumarate: Synthesis, Structure, and Dynamic Behavior

TL;DR: In this paper, a well defined, coordinatively unsaturated NHC palladium and nickel complexes have been synthesized and fully characterized, including a dimeric Ni complex in which the DMFU acts as a bridging ligand, via the double bond and one carbonyl oxygen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water-soluble Co(III) complexes of substituted phenanthrolines with cell selective anticancer activity.

TL;DR: Five new water-soluble Co(III) complexes with methyl substituted phenanthroline ligands with substituted phenanthrolines as ligands showed selective cytotoxicity with a significantly higher effect on intracellular mitochondrial function in PC-3 cells than in HeLa cells, indicating that an appropriate value of the hydrophobicity is essential for high antitumor activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel diaroylhydrazine ligands as iron chelators: coordination chemistry and biological activity.

TL;DR: Five new members of a series of N-aroyl-N′-picolinoyl hydrazine chelators showed high efficacy at mobilizing 59Fe from cells and inhibiting 59Fe uptake from the serum Fe transport protein, transferrin (Tf).
