Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. Nitrile-functionalized pyridinium ionic liquids: Synthesis, characterization, and their application in carbon-carbon coupling reactions

TL;DR: Inductive coupled plasma spectroscopy reveals that the presence of the coordinating nitrile moiety in the ionic liquid leads to a significant decrease in palladium leaching relative to simple N-alkylpyridinium ionic liquids.

Synthesis, structures and fluorescence of nickel, zinc and cadmium complexes with the N,N,O-tridentate Schiff base N-2-pyridylmethylidene-2-hydroxy-phenylamine

TL;DR: In this paper, the trinuclear unit is held together by bridging deprotonated phenolic oxygen atoms from the Schiff base and acetate groups, and the structures of the three synthesised complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

Polymorphism in pentacene

TL;DR: Pentacene, C(22)H(14), crystallizes in different morphologies characterized by their d(001)-spacings of 14.1 and 14.5 A d-spacing morphologies grown by vapour transport and from solution.

Isopestacin, an isobenzofuranone from Pestalotiopsis microspora, possessing antifungal and antioxidant activities

TL;DR: Isopestacin is an isobenzofuranone obtained from the endophytic fungus Pestalotiopsis microspora that possesses antifungal activity and also behaves as an antioxidant scavenging both superoxide and hydroxy free radicals.
