Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. New Ni(II)-sulfonamide complexes: synthesis, structural characterization and antibacterial properties. X-ray diffraction of [Ni(sulfisoxazole)2(H2O)4].2H2O and [Ni(sulfapyridine)2].

TL;DR: 2H(2)O and [Ni(sulfapyridine)(2)] presented different antibacterial behavior against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli from the similar copper complexes and they were inactive against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of two isomeric, self-assembled arsenic-thiolate macrocycles.

TL;DR: The use of labile As-S bond formation in the self-assembly of discrete supramolecular structures is extended and close contacts between the arsenic(III) ions and the aromatic carbons are shown, consistent with intramolescular arsenic-pi interactions.

Rhodium(III) and iridium(III) complexes with 1,2-naphthoquinone-1-oximate as a bidentate ligand: synthesis, structure, and biological activity

TL;DR: The screened iridium and rhodium complexes 4a and 5a may still be interesting as potential anticancer drugs owing to their high cytotoxicity toward cancer cell lines, whereas they do not modify DNA in a way similar to that of cisplatin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal ion selectivities of the highly preorganized tetradentate ligand 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxamide with lanthanide(III) ions and some actinide ions

TL;DR: In this article, the metal ion complexing properties of the ligand PDAM (1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxamide) are reported in relation to its possible use as a functional group for solvent extractants in the separation of Am(III) from Ln-III (lanthanide) ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer and charge transfer in 2-(2′-hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole crystals studied by polymorphs-selected electronic spectroscopy

TL;DR: Crystal structures of polymorphs of 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole (HPBI), Forms α and β, are analyzed by X-ray crystallography and it is found that the electronic spectra of the two crystal forms are significantly different from each other.
