Abstract
Computer Program Abstracts The category Computer Program Abstracts provides a rapid means of communicating up-to-date information concerning both new programs or systems and significant updates to existing ones. Following normal submission, a Computer Program Abstract will be reviewed by one or two members of the IUCr Commission on Crystallographic Computing. It should not exceed 500 words in length and should follow the standard format given on page 189 of the June 1985 issue of the Journal [J. Appl. CrysL (1985). 18, 189190] and on the World Wide Web at http://www.iucr. ac. uk/journals/jac/software/. 8-Hydroxyquinoline Schiff-base compounds as antioxidants and modulators of copper-mediated Aβ peptide aggregation.

TL;DR: The syntheses and characterization of an acetohydrazone, a thiosemicarbazone (8-H2QT), and a semicarbaz one derived from 8-hydroxyquinoline are described, which are shown to be neutral at pH7.4, and are potent antioxidants as measured by a Trolox Equivalent Antioxidant Capacity (TEAC) assay.

Methyl-palladium(II) complexes of pyridine-bridged bis(nucleophilic heterocyclic carbene) ligands: Substituent effects on structure, stability, and catalytic performance

TL;DR: A series of discrete, mononuclear palladium(II)-methyl complexes, together with several palladium-II-chloro analogues, of pyridine-functionalised bis-NHC ligands have been prepared via ligand transmetallation from the silver(I)-NHC complexes as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complexes of Schiff Bases and Intermediates in the Copper-Catalyzed Oxidative Heterocyclization by Atmospheric Oxygen§

TL;DR: A catalytic cycle for the copper-catalyzed oxidative heterocyclization will be presented together with isolated copper complexes of Schiff bases 1a,b and intermediates 5 and 8 that were found by X-ray structure analyses which confirm this reaction scheme.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemistry and biology of two novel gold(I) carbene complexes as prospective anticancer agents.

TL;DR: It is proposed that the investigated gold(I) carbene compounds are promising antiproliferative agents warranting a wider pharmacological evaluation and produce their potent biological effects through selective metalation and impairment of a few crucial cellular proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal-organic frameworks derived from imidazolium dicarboxylates and group I and II salts.

TL;DR: A series of coordination polymers containing Group I or II metal ions, connected via an imidazolium-centered dicarboxylate ligand, have been isolated from water and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
