Journal ArticleDOI

Biochemical and histological changes in the brain tissue of spotted murrel, Channa punctatus (Bloch), exposed to endosulfan.

TL;DR: Results showed that brain glucose level increased significantly after exposure, indicating a hyperglycemic state of the fish and exposure of sublethal concentration of endosulfan to C. punctatus may have a direct effect on the histology of theFish's brain tissue, thereby affecting its metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deletion of Vitamin C biosynthesis enzyme, Arabino-1, 4-lactone oxidase in Leishmania donovani results in increased pro-inflammatory responses from host immune cells.

TL;DR: The description of ALO null mutant parasite that triggers pro‐inflammatory host responses provides a novel platform for targeting ALO in anti‐parasitic strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antioxidative mechanism involved in the preventive efficacy of Bergenia ciliata rhizomes against experimental nephrolithiasis in rats.

TL;DR: B. ciliata has a significant prophylactic effect in preventing the nephrolithiasis, which might be mediated through antioxidant activity of these active compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correlation of Clinical and Histopathological Grades in Oral Submucous Fibrosis Patients with Oxidative Stress Markers in Saliva.

TL;DR: In OSF patients, a significant decrease in the levels of vitamins A, C and E was observed and changes significantly correlated with the increasing and differing grades of OSF that reflects increased oxidative stress with the progress ofOSF.
