Journal ArticleDOI

Polymorphisms within insulin-degrading enzyme (IDE) gene determine insulin metabolism and risk of type 2 diabetes.

TL;DR: This study validates and confirms the association of IDE polymorphisms with T2DM risk in the prospective German cohort and provides novel evidence of influences of IDE genetic variants on insulin metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of transverse momentum relative to dijet systems in PbPb and pp collisions at root s(NN)=2.76 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2379 more
TL;DR: An analysis of dijet events in PbPb and pp collisions is performed to explore the properties of energy loss by partons traveling in a quark-gluon plasma as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human HT-29 colon carcinoma cells contain muscarinic M3 receptors coupled to phosphoinositide metabolism.

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that HT-29 human colon carcinoma cells contain an apparently pure population of M3 receptors, which could serve as a model system for further investigations concerning regulatory and signal transduction mechanisms associated with glandular muscarinic M3 receptor subtypes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Continuous glucose monitoring in people with diabetes: the randomized controlled Glucose Level Awareness in Diabetes Study (GLADIS).

TL;DR: To investigate the best glucose monitoring strategy for maintaining euglycaemia by comparing self‐monitoring of blood glucose with continuous glucose monitoring, with or without an alarm function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for pair production of vector-like quarks in the bW(b)over-barW channel from proton-proton collisions at root s=13TeV

Albert M. Sirunyan, +2241 more
- 10 Apr 2018 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for the production of vector-like quark pairs, TT or YY, with electric charge of 2/3 (T) or −4/3(Y), in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV was presented.
